Rohil was born and brought up in the city of Kolkata in eastern India. He knew he wanted to be a physician at an early age, but his academic interests were in math and engineering. To get the opportunity to marry these interests together, Rohil took a leap of faith and moved to the US to study Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins. After this, he chose to attend medical school at Yale, where he did a dedicated year of research on the applications of machine learning in radiology.
Currently, Rohil is finishing up medical school and applying for residency programs in diagnostic and interventional radiology. Ruchi is an MD/PhD candidate at the Yale School of Medicine. Ruchi is originally from Houston and graduated from Rice University with a degree in Chemistry with Distinction in Research and Creative Works. During her time at Rice, Ruchi was awarded several scholarships, research fellowships, and the highest recognition of undergraduate academic achievement by the Chemistry department. She served as the Editor in Chief of the Catalyst Undergraduate Research Journal, the President of Pancakes for Parkinson’s, and founded and led Rice’s chapter of the American Physician Scientists Association. She was actively involved in research at both McGovern Medical School and Rice University, and her work has culminated in multiple publications and poster presentations at national conferences.
Ruchi was accepted into many MD, 5 year MD, and MD/PhD programs, and ultimately was deciding between a full ride scholarship to UT Southwestern, a full ride scholarship to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner School of Medicine, or the Yale MSTP program. She chose Yale because of the flexibility afforded by the Yale System, the renowned immunology department, and the warmth and kindness of the student body and faculty. In medical school, Ruchi has led the Women in Medicine and Cancer Student Interest Groups and has worked for two years with the Yale Health Professions department as a personal statement reviewer and mock interviewer.
Working closely with dozens of students at all stages of the application cycle has given Ruchi significant insight into the medical school admissions process for both MD and MD/PhD applicants. Originally from Los Angeles, Sabiha went to UCLA as an undergraduate and pursued a degree in psychology. She was hoping to eventually apply to medical school and become a psychiatrist. She was involved in multiple extracurriculars, one of which included volunteer work at St. Mary's Medical Center. While doing prerequisite coursework, Sabiha began to research job outlook and satisfaction for healthcare professionals. She also asked physicians and nurse practitioners at the hospital about their own personal experiences. The response she got was mixed. Many of the physicians reported their satisfaction to be either just "ok" or "I wish I had chosen something else," with the occasional " I love it." The NPs, on the other hand, were more likely to report happiness, job satisfaction, and opportunities for growth.
Sabiha then decided to apply to nurse practitioner school. Today, she is one semester shy of graduating from a DNP program at UMASS. She can honestly say this was the best career decision she could have made. She hopes to be an inspiration to upcoming candidates in helping them decide what the best fit for their professional careers is.

Dr. Zilkha already had the opportunity to attend the Washington University School of Medicine through the BA/MD program, but she decided to also apply to a few other top medical schools that were closer to home. She was accepted to the Yale School of Medicine, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and Columbia School of Medicine, but decided to return to WashU after she was awarded two full-tuition merit scholarships (the Olin Fellowship for Women and the Distinguished Alumni Scholarship) with a stipend.
After that, Dr. Zilkha matched at her top residency choice, which was Schneider Children's Hospital (now Cohen Children's Medical Center) of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. During residency, she won an award for her research on latex allergy in pediatric housestaff. After residency, she did part of a fellowship in allergy/immunology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. After pregnancy complications that disrupted her fellowship, she decided to instead transition to pediatric private practice.
She spent 20 years in pediatric private practice before pivoting to pediatric telemedicine. Dr. Zilkha has worked for multiple large telemedicine companies, but her biggest accomplishment was creating and launching the pediatric telemedicine division for Allied Physicians Group in New York. Once the pandemic hit New York, Dr. Zilkha scaled Allied Pediatric Telemedicine as well as trained physicians in telemedicine across the United States. Dr. Zilkha was personally responsible for bringing pediatric telemedicine to millions of U.S. children.
Dr. Zilkha joined the staff of Hofstra University's Zucker School of Medicine (ZSOM), and then, after helping her daughter apply and get accepted to medical school, her interest in medical school admissions grew. It was then that she joined the ZSOM admissions committee.

At Columbia, Jingwen has been instrumental in providing free healthcare to those in need as a volunteer at a local clinic. She also served as a former Chapter President of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) and continued her love for teaching as a senior student teacher for pre-clinical students. Kunal is a board-certified Dermatologist and native New Yorker who completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at New York University, where he graduated as a Dean's Scholar. He earned his MD with highest distinction from the State University of New York- Downstate College of Medicine and received numerous honors and awards. Throughout his educational journey, Kunal has been an active mentor, serving as an instructor for the MCAT and a USMLE tutor, as well as a Resident Advisor during medical school.

Neil Jairath is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical school, class of 2021. He graduated #1 in his class there, receiving the Charles and Phyllis Lowe Merit Scholarship (awarded to fourth-year medical students of highest academic standing), the Academic Achievement Award, and the Academic Recognition Award. Neil was also awarded the Paul DeWolf Award and Patrick John Niland Award, was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society, and graduated with Distinction in Research Honors. He was actively involved in leadership initiatives and interdisciplinary research, including the utilization of artificial intelligence as a means of augmented physician diagnosis and biostatistical projects and clinical research investigating various oncologic theories, especially pertaining to the intersection of immunology and oncology. He served as an interviewer and admissions representative for three years during his time at Michigan. Neil has 20+ published articles and has presented his team's work 30+ times at national and international conferences. He is pursuing a residency in dermatology at New York University starting July 2022, following an intern year at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego.
Prior to pursuing medicine, Neil attended The University of Notre Dame, where he studied medicine and computer science, with minors in philosophy and the AL/SC Honors Program.
