Viet began tutoring IB-level sciences and math in high school and continued to support students throughout college in chemistry, biology, and physics coursework. Beyond academics, Viet has worked with elementary schools in Los Angeles with One Bus, One Cause, and has participated in initiatives like Operation Smile and the Graphic History of Human Rights Project.
As a tutor, Viet draws from his own experience preparing for the MCAT to offer knowledgeable, relatable teaching. He understands the challenges that students face throughout the prep process and provides guidance on content, as well as encouragement and perspective to help them stay motivated. Students who have worked with Viet value his flexibility, clarity, and ability to tailor explanations to fit their individual learning styles.
One of Viet’s greatest strengths as a tutor is his ability to implement diverse strategies that resonate with different learners. He helps students identify study methods that suit their needs and strengths, while providing accountability and motivation to ensure consistent progress. Viet takes the time to listen to each student's needs and makes adjustments based on their progress.
