Tim has amassed several hundred hours working as a chair-side and front office dental assistant in California. This experience, when combined with his academic ability, creates a reliable foundation for tutoring students for the DAT.
Tim’s goal is simple: to help students not just optimize their scores, but really understand the material and enjoy the DAT prep process. His teaching method emphasizes structure to help students know exactly where they are and where they’re headed, ensuring a comprehensive preparedness for all sections of the DAT. This structure contributed to his own test day experience, leading him to perfect scores on the Biology and Reading Comprehension sections.
He focuses on creating a customized study plan with strategies tailored to the preferences and pace of the student. His sessions are designed to be a space for practicing weak areas, working through test questions, and breaking down complex topics, all while outlining his thought processes when approaching questions.
Tim understands the need for simplistic visuals in complex scenarios as a UX Web Designer for a dental anesthesia company. He uses his iPad to draw step-by-step reaction explanations for organic chemistry, helps create memorable mnemonics and flowcharts for biology, and breaks down every general chemistry chapter into its high-yield components.
Tim is passionate about coaching applicants and is excited to deliver clarity and confidence to students on the same journey. He looks forward to helping applicants become the most competitive candidates for dental school that they can be.
