During undergrad, Wilson participated in research for all four years in the fields of nephrology, oncology, and behavioral pediatrics as a University of Michigan student researcher, research technician, and study coordinator. Following their graduation, they spent two years working in the Department of Immunobiology at the Yale School of Medicine. While there, they contributed to ongoing research into the disease mechanisms of long COVID and systemic lupus erythematosus. They are passionate about translational wet laboratory research, specifically in the field of immunology.
Wilson has contributed as co‑author on several research publications, including The Health Economic Impact of Nephrotic Syndrome in the United States, and additional manuscripts currently in review on long COVID autoantibodies, cutaneous lupus and dermatomyositis, and immunology topics.
Wilson believes that the medical school application process is inherently challenging and is passionate about guiding students toward their goal of becoming physicians. They are passionate about teaching and helping students reach their goal scores on the MCAT.
