Dr. Leslie T.

As a California native, Dr. Tay ventured to the East Coast to pursue her undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University. There, she graduated with University Honors and earned a spot on the Dean's List while completing dual degrees in global studies and biology. During her time at Carnegie Mellon, Dr. Tay was an active member of various organizations, including Delta Delta Delta sorority, Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, and the Science-Humanities Scholar program. She also served as a live-in mentor for residential housing, a resident assistant, and an orientation counselor, demonstrating her strong leadership skills and commitment to community engagement.

Driven by her passion for children's health and education, Dr. Tay served as the president of the Global Public Health Brigades, where she developed an oral health curriculum for children in Honduras. This experience solidified her desire to pursue a career in dentistry, with a focus on pediatric care.

Dr. Tay's dedication to healthcare led her to the University of Pennsylvania. She continued to demonstrate her leadership abilities by serving as the vice-president of her class and overseeing the mentor-mentee pairing through the Big/Little sibling program. Dr. Tay's involvement with the ASDA at the local, district, and national levels demonstrated her commitment to the field, and her efforts were recognized with the Award of Excellence. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Tay worked at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Philadelphia's Chinatown, where she confirmed her passion for pediatric dentistry.

Throughout her academic journey, Dr. Tay gained valuable research experience, ranging from clinical cancer research at the University of Pittsburgh to a summer internship at Align Technology, the company behind Invisalign products. These experiences further improved her skills and knowledge in the dental field.

Drawing from her diverse background and extensive network, Dr. Tay has successfully guided numerous applicants in finding their perfect fit for dental school and pediatric residency programs. Her perspective, coupled with her passion for education and healthcare, makes her an incredible asset for aspiring dental professionals.
