Dr. House is a dedicated dental professional in his third decade as a healthcare provider. He brings a specialized perspective to dental medicine with a diverse background that includes service as a fireman in Washington and experience as an emergency medical technician.
Dr. House completed his undergraduate education at Gonzaga University, earning dual degrees in biology and philosophy. He earned his DDS with Honors from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. His commitment to excellence continued with a hospital dentistry certificate from Metro General Hospital/MMC in Nashville, where he served as Chief Resident. He further refined his expertise with additional training in forensic odontology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
After dedicating eleven years to inner-city public health, corrections dentistry, military readiness dentistry, and rural health, Dr. House returned to his alma mater as an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and as the Hospital Dentistry/General Practice Residency Program Director. He also served as the Member At Large of the ADEA Committee on Advanced Education Programs. During his time as a Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry admissions committee member and GPR Program Director, Dr. House evaluated over 1,000+ applications and conducted 300+ interviews.
Currently. Dr. House practices full-time in a busy rural dental practice in Washington State, where he focuses on treating patients requiring surgical intervention with extractions, alveoplasty, incision and drainage of abscesses, identifying systemic pathology, and the placement of implants.
Dr. House has successfully mentored a diverse range of students, helping them gain acceptance to dental schools including the University of Washington, Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, and Creighton University. With 15+ years of coaching experience, Dr. House loves to help prospective dental students find their true voices in their applications and give them the best shot of acceptance to their dream dental school.
