Waleed's MCAT tutoring experience was honed at NJIT, where he tutored General and Organic Chemistry for three years. This tutoring background has helped him refine his ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt his teaching style to individual needs. He has continued his commitment to tutoring at the Perelman School of Medicine and earned the Twenty-First Century Scholar Award.
Waleed is also a published researcher with his first work being done in his senior year of high school in association with the Waksman Foundation. At NJIT, he worked alongside Dr. Murugan at CIBM3. During his gap years, he worked at Bessman Lab and presented some of his work at a GI conference. Over the past summer, he was selected as one of FAER’s MSARF fellows and did anesthesia research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Waleed's passion for tutoring stems from the shared sense of accomplishment of clearing misunderstandings and understanding new concepts. This positivity inspires him to continue tutoring and helping students achieve their academic goals. His greatest strength is his flexibility, which is reflected in his sessions.
With almost half of his life dedicated to tutoring, Waleed has developed a deep understanding of what makes tutoring effective. He began tutoring in middle school and continued throughout high school, undergrad, and medical school. He works together with students to construct an approach that has them feeling ready to tackle the MCAT with full force!
