Dr. Kapoor earned her DDS from New York University College of Dentistry, following dual BS degrees in molecular & cellular biology and French and an MS in genetics and genomics from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Kapoor has over eight years of mentorship experience and has served as a student liaison for the NYU College of Dentistry.
While at New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Kapoor met with applicants during campus visits, answered questions about the program, and provided mentorship throughout the application process—an experience that sparked her passion for guiding future dental professionals. She also distinguished herself through research in prosthodontics, presenting at national conferences and contributing to studies in oral cancer pain and patient management. While in dental school, she held leadership roles as a peer mentor and legislative liaison for the American Student Dental Association. Her dedication was recognized with honors, including the Horace Wells Trust Dental Scholarship, the Dean’s Recognition Award, and the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship.
Following graduation, Dr. Kapoor completed a general practice residency before embarking on a diverse career in private practice. She served as a clinical instructor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where she enjoyed teaching and mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. Beyond the classroom, she participated in global dental relief efforts in Guatemala and Kenya, providing care to underserved populations through international outreach programs.
As an admissions consultant, Dr. Kapoor understands the challenges and setbacks applicants may face. She believes that the lessons learned through her own journey have been invaluable in shaping her professional growth, giving her the insight to help students approach the process with strategy and confidence. Dr. Kapoor excels at helping applicants craft exceptional applications that reflect their experiences, values, and aspirations. Through her patient and personalized approach, she breaks down the application process into manageable steps tailored to each student’s needs, schedule, and strengths. Students she has coached have been accepted to some of the nation’s top dental schools, including NYU, Tufts University, the University of Connecticut, and the University of New England.
