Throughout his medical journey, Dr. Gruszczynski has been deeply committed to medical education and mentorship. As a medical student, he founded the Leadership in Medicine and Surgical Skills courses at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, programs designed to empower future physicians with both technical and professional skills. At the University of Virginia, he has served as a lecturer and proctor for tracheostomy and surgical skills training for medical students and as a representative on the General Medical Education Committee.
Dr. Gruszczynski’s academic work has appeared in premier peer-reviewed journals, including The Laryngoscope, Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine. He has presented his work at national and international conferences, receiving multiple research awards from leading professional societies.
As a BS/MD and medical school admissions coach, Dr. Gruszczynski draws on his background in academic medicine and his firsthand insight from serving on the University of Virginia Otolaryngology Residency Acceptance Committee. He has guided numerous students to success, helping them build authentic and competitive applications to top medical programs across the U.S. Students whom Dr. Gruszczynski has coached have been accepted to medical schools such as Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, UCLA School of Medicine, and Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
Passionate about guiding the next generation of physicians, Dr. Gruszczynski works with pre-medical and medical students to help them navigate the challenges of applying to BS/MD programs, medical school, and residency. His mentorship emphasizes academic excellence, personal growth, and authentic storytelling, helping each student present their unique journey with confidence and clarity.
