Dr. Robinson is a General Dentist and Program Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Nova Southeastern University. She enjoys working in academia and has always taken pride in staying current with dental literature and advancements.

Dr. Robinson has always had her sights set on practicing a profession that utilizes her strengths, challenges her current understanding, and provides her with the infinite opportunity to continue learning. She attended the University of Florida, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences, and moved to Boston after enrolling at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  She completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency through NYU’s Lutheran Medical Center’s Satellite clinic in Baltimore, MD.

She attributes many of her personal qualities including a strong work ethic and unwavering integrity to her family and upbringing.  Her commitment to learning and involvement with community outreach activities stems from her father’s dedication to his job and family.  Her consideration for the well being of others is a direct reflection of her mother’s patience and kind heart.

As an undergraduate, she was fortunate to have the opportunity to work as a research assistant.  This opportunity provided her with exceptional training as a leader and mentor as many of her daily tasks included managing complex problems with imagination, flexibility, and impeccable attention to detail.  Working as a research assistant guided her to critically assess research reports, conduct literature reviews, formulate research questions, collect and analyze data, and write reports and present research findings.  She graduated at the top of her class in dental school and served as both a teaching assistant and predoctoral admissions committee representative.

In her experience as a resident and general and special needs dentist, she came to realize that her success was not based solely on clinical skills and knowledge but rather on communication, integrity, and the ability to build trust with patients and staff.  Throughout her journey as a dentist, she came to learn one of her greatest joys is her passion for teaching. With the continuous rotation of residents entering the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program, there is never a shortage of questions and inquiries, and the dental literature and advancements continue to grow exponentially.

It is her absolute pleasure to stay in the know with dentistry and find ways to improve upon technique and increase speed.  She has enjoyed walking through and treatment planning complex cases.  She has relished in seeing her residents improve and has thrived on being able to offer them the encouragement to do so.

As a coach, Dr. Robinson comes prepared with knowledge in clinical research and experience in a broad array of settings with many diverse populations. She maintains excellent time management and organizational skills and has been lauded for her interpersonal dexterity, professional character, and enthusiasm.  She considers herself to be a confident woman who adheres to a high set of moral and ethical principles.  She has also earned respect from both the patients she serves, and the professionals with whom she works and collaborates.
