Dr. Voss grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area before making her way to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo to obtain a BS in animal science and a minor in biology. After taking some time to travel and gather work experience, she decided to pursue a Master's degree in public health at Kansas State University. This degree had a specific emphasis on zoonotic and infectious diseases. With her Master's in hand, she returned to California for veterinary school.
After graduation, Dr. Voss' professional journey took her to a large specialty hospital in Denver for a rotating small animal and surgery internship. She has been practicing emergency medicine in Colorado ever since, and has worked with and coached many interns and externs.
Dr. Voss takes pride in her teaching and career counseling capabilities. Her coaching experience, paired with her role on the Western University of Health Science College of Veterinary Medicine admissions committee, provides her with unique insights into the vet school admissions process and how to best position candidates.
Dr. Voss is passionate about helping students identify and highlight their unique strengths in their applications and preparing them for interviews. She has a keen eye for editing personal statements and essays, helping students capture their experiences and aspirations accurately.
