Dr. Lauren S.

Dr. Seal graduated with a BS in biology from DePauw University before attending Ohio State University, where she earned an MPH and DVM as a U.S. Army Health Professions Scholar. Most recently, she expanded her expertise with a graduate certificate in global health. As a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, she has also mentored others in preparing for this challenging board exam.

During her military service, Dr. Seal completed three levels of the army's resiliency training created by the University of Pennsylvania. She continues to share these valuable skills to improve well-being among veterinary professionals, emphasizing the importance of work-life balance without compromising career progression. While serving, she provided quality care and support to military working dogs, wildlife, and livestock, as well as public health and food safety services to human personnel. 

Dr. Seal’s strong academic background has helped her pursue her passion for advancing animal and human health across borders and cultures. She has participated in multiple global health initiatives and projects, such as conducting disease surveillance, delivering health education, and facilitating partnerships with local communities and organizations. She currently works as a veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital.

As a coach, Dr. Seal's approach is characterized by honesty, constructiveness, and a genuine desire to help applicants succeed. She believes in highlighting each applicant's uniqueness, passion, and drive, demonstrating how they can be an asset to both the veterinary school program and the profession as a whole. Dr. Seal offers candid yet supportive guidance, always prioritizing transparency with her clients. She is knowledgeable, approachable, and deeply invested in each student’s journey to success, with the ultimate goal of ensuring every applicant presents their strongest application to maximize their chances of acceptance.
