Hyery has over nine years of tutoring experience, supporting students across a wide range of subjects. With a focused and strategic approach, she earned a top 1% score on the MCAT. She is an experienced biomedical researcher and educator, pursuing a PhD in biological engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she is a Presidential Fellow.
Hyery double majored in chemistry and computer science at Amherst College, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with distinction. As an undergraduate, she was awarded the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship, recognizing her academic excellence and promise as a future scientist.
During her undergraduate years, Hyery served as a teaching assistant in multiple chemistry courses such as general chemistry, organic chemistry, and quantum chemistry, consistently recognized for her ability to make complex topics approachable and engaging. After college, she worked as a research associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, studying the molecular mechanisms of rare genetic diseases.
