For his graduate degree, Mohammed investigated the dynamics between acetylcholine and dopamine in the striatum of murine models, utilizing advanced techniques such as MatLab, optogenetics, and photometry. Currently, he is working on several projects in the field of neuroscience and neurosurgery in a very successful start to his medical education.
Mohammed has had a passion for medicine and neuroscience from a very young age and he translated that into practice through his research and academic endeavors. During his studies, he found a passion for education and supporting his peers in their academic performance. Mohammed has tutored at prestigious institutions including Loyola University Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor. His expertise spans a wide range of subjects, including General Chemistry, Psychology, Neuroscience, Physics, Calculus 1-4, Statistics, and Biochemistry.
Mohammed's teaching experience extends beyond tutoring. He has served as a Lab Director and Assistant Professor at Northwestern University, where he managed biology and chemistry labs and prepared lesson plans for STEM courses. At the University of Michigan, he worked as a Study Group Facilitator, organizing sessions to help students master complex physics concepts.
As an MCAT tutor, Mohammed excels in all sections of the exam, with particular strength in the Psychology/Sociology section.
