Jay is a dedicated DAT tutor attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine on a $40,000 annual merit scholarship. He has over seven years of experience working with students across varying academic backgrounds. Jay has helped many students raise their DAT scores by an average of 60-70 points.

A Pittsburgh native, Jay graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in business from Nova Southeastern University. His academic excellence led to his receipt of an annual Dean’s Scholarship. In addition to his academic and tutoring work, Jay conducted computational chemistry research on "Understanding Proton Transfer within DNA Base Pairs using Ab Initio Molecular Dynamics" and presented his findings at the American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meeting in New Orleans. Jay was also accepted to the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and Harvard School of Dental Medicine but ultimately chose UPenn for its forward-thinking curriculum and rich research opportunities.

Jay has experience tutoring for the DAT and organic chemistry, making him highly effective at adapting to individual learning styles. His mentoring goes beyond academics—Jay is known for creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and confident.

What sets Jay apart as a tutor is his strength in communication and connection. He doesn’t treat students like clients—he treats them like friends. He also offers more than academic tutoring as a mentor who builds trust, boosts confidence, and provides emotional support throughout the often stressful pre-dental journey.
