During her academic journey, Palak conducted significant research on modeling individual sleep cycles and the efficacy of copper-infused bioactive glass in diabetic wound healing, presenting her findings at national conferences and securing awards for her outstanding presentations.
In the past year, Palak has worked at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she was involved in cutting-edge translational clinical research on inflammatory bowel disease in pediatric patients. This role enabled her to apply her computational and biological expertise in a clinical setting, further honing her analytical and problem-solving skills. Outside of her full-time position, Palak developed an award-winning generative AI-powered application for a hackathon hosted by the National Academy of Medicine, focusing on addressing stigmas and disparities contributing to the STI epidemic.
Palak's approach to MCAT tutoring is deeply informed by her own experience of balancing a full-time work schedule with rigorous preparation. She understands the importance of time management and provides practical strategies to help students efficiently allocate their study time.
As a teaching assistant for Molecular Biology at Northwestern, Palak tutored and mentored pre-med students through office hours and classroom discussions, all of which equipped her with a complex understanding of the foundational knowledge required for the MCAT and expanded her teaching skills.
