Dr. Berrett Chestleigh, Dental School Admissions Consultant at Inspira Advantage

Dr. Chestleigh is a general dentist and experienced admissions counselor with over a decade of dental school admissions mentorship experience. He earned a BS in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before graduating with a DDS and a Master’s in health science from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. Dr. Chestleigh has served on the University of Iowa College of Dentistry’s admissions committee, evaluating applications and contributing to admissions decisions.

Before attending Meharry Medical College, Dr. Chestleigh also earned a Master’s degree in education policy and leadership studies from the University of Iowa. He helped launch and implement the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) at the University of Iowa, where he facilitated meaningful connections between pre-dental students and dental school representatives to enhance students’ understanding of the admissions process. Currently, he serves as a general dentist at McGonigle Dental Associates.

As a dental admissions coach, Dr. Chestleigh brings firsthand knowledge of what it takes to stand out in competitive applicant pools. His approach is rooted in accessibility and empowerment—helping students from diverse backgrounds articulate their personal motivations and unique strengths throughout every stage of the admissions process.

Dr. Chestleigh’s professional experience as a practicing general dentist, combined with his background in admissions and educational leadership, enables him to provide tailored, realistic, and strategic guidance to aspiring dental professionals. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of dentists and helping them gain access to fulfilling careers in dentistry.
