Judith's passion for mentoring and guiding others stems from her own experiences as an immigrant and first-generation college student. She understands the challenges that students face when navigating the complex world of higher education and is committed to providing them with the support and guidance they need to succeed. Judith's experience as a translator and her involvement with post-baccalaureate students during her final two years of dental school has fueled her desire to help aspiring dentists achieve their dreams.
As a mentor, Judith's greatest strength is her ability to empathize with and guide students through the overwhelming dental school application process. With over two years of tutoring experience in admissions prep and one and a half years as a substitute teacher in public schools, Judith has mastered her skills in providing personalized support and guidance. She especially excels at helping students identify their strengths, craft compelling applications, and prepare for interviews. Judith's warm and approachable demeanor, combined with her firsthand knowledge of the challenges and triumphs of the dental school journey, make her an ideal mentor for aspiring dentists.
Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Judith moved to the United States with her family at a young age. Growing up in rural Central California, Judith faced many challenges as an immigrant, including learning a new language and translating for her parents. Despite this, she remained active in various clubs and organizations throughout her academic career, including the band club, pre-dental club, art club, and fitness groups. Judith's diverse experiences have shaped her perspective and strengthened her ability to connect with students from all backgrounds.
