As an accomplished general dentist with a passion for mentoring and a proven track record of academic excellence and leadership, Dr. Kalajian draws upon her extensive experience and organizational skills to help aspiring dental students navigate the challenging path to becoming a dentist, breaking down the process into manageable milestones.

Dr. Kalajian's educational journey began in Massachusetts, where she grew up and later graduated cum laude from Boston University with an undergraduate degree in behavior and health science and a minor in biology. Her academic success and passion for dentistry led her to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her DMD.

During her time at UConn, Dr. Kalajian's outstanding achievements and leadership skills were recognized with numerous awards, including the Kohrman Award and the International College of Dentists Student Leadership Award. She was an active member of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) chapter, serving as both Vice President and President. Dr. Kalajian's dedication to her community was evident through her volunteer work at events such as Give Kids a Smile and her lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill on behalf of her patients and dental colleagues.

As the Class Representative, Dr. Kalajian acted as the liaison between pre-doctoral students and other local ASDA members. Her exceptional contributions were acknowledged with the ASDA District 1 New England Delegate of the Year award and the ASDA Award of Excellence. The Connecticut State Dental Association also presented her with the "Charles A. Vernale Award" for her community involvement and support of public health interests.

Following dental school, Dr. Kalajian completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. She currently works as an Associate General Dentist in a private practice just outside of Boston, MA, where she continues to hone her skills and provide high-quality care to her patients. Dr. Kalajian also remains an active member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, the Armenian International Women's Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. She currently serves as the Editor for the Boston Dental District Society, further demonstrating her commitment to the field of dentistry.

Dr. Kalajian's tutoring experience spans from her high school years, where she mentored and guided many students through the college application process while helping them develop study and organizational skills. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as an online tutor, assisting students in math and science courses for approximately five years. Additionally, she served as a private organic chemistry tutor for two individuals, meeting with them weekly to review course material. Dr. Kalajian continued her work in mentoring throughout dental school, expanding her tutoring expertise to include DAT and dental school preparation.

Throughout her academic and professional journey, Dr. Kalajian has mastered time management skills, as evidenced by her numerous extracurricular accolades. She is passionate about helping students develop the organization and study skills necessary for academic success. Drawing from her own experiences, Dr. Kalajian understands that the path to mastering the DAT can be daunting, but she excels at breaking it down into manageable milestones and simplified tasks.
