Dr. Ravi completed her medical training at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. Before her medical education, she earned an undergraduate degree in cognitive science from Rice University, where she gained a deep understanding of the rigors and demands of a pre-med curriculum at an elite institution. She held leadership roles in the Rice University Pre-Medical Society throughout her undergraduate career, with experience in hosting various sessions and workshops for pre-medical students and conducting mock interviews for applicants. Saisree also served as a senior interviewer on the admissions team at Rice.
In medical school, Dr. Ravi continued her interest in mentorship by being involved in the Big Sibling program, guiding incoming MS1 students through their first year of medical school, and also serving as a Research Liaison for students interested in neurology and neurosurgery. She has also published numerous publications in the fields of cancer nanotechnology, head and neck surgery, and interventional neurology and stroke.
What sets Dr. Ravi apart as a coach is her personalized approach to counseling. She takes the time to thoroughly understand each applicant's background and narrative, working closely with them to highlight their strengths and experiences. Drawing upon her extensive knowledge of the medical school and residency application processes, she provides expert guidance to help prospective candidates navigate the complex admissions landscape.
In addition to her formal mentorship roles, Dr. Ravi actively shares tips and advice with pre-med and medical students through her popular medical Instagram page. By leveraging social media, she extends her reach and impact, providing accessible and relatable guidance to a wider audience of aspiring healthcare professionals.
