Mohammad also majored in Asian studies and graduated from Rice with a certificate in Arabic. He achieved a 3.94 cumulative GPA and a 3.92 science GPA, earning him a place on the Rice University President's Honor Roll every fall semester. He also received the Rice Investment Grant and Pell Grant to support his education.
During his college years, Mohammad fell in love with the wonderful art of teaching. He has been a teaching assistant for the challenging biochemistry class at Rice for four semesters and has tutored general physics for two semesters. In these roles, he has conducted review sessions and office hours for over 40 students per semester, while also providing one-on-one support. His efforts have helped numerous students achieve their academic goals.
Mohammad also has extensive research experience and has co-authored four publications in medical journals, including work on brain tumors, COVID-19 vaccines, and neurosurgical literature. He also received the Rice EMS Life Saver Award for saving a choking pediatric patient on campus.
As a tutor, Mohammad excels at teaching MCAT content. His in-depth knowledge of the test’s sections allows him to teach effective methods and shortcuts that can significantly improve performance. He is committed to working with students and supporting them by crafting the most suitable study schedule. One of Mohammad's most impressive achievements is his perfect score in the Biology and Biochemistry section of the MCAT. He emphasizes the importance of understanding how questions are framed and what test makers are looking for, a strategy he shares with students to help them excel, particularly in science-heavy sections.
