Dr. Munoz graduated summa cum laude from California State University San Marcos with a BS in biology and a minor in chemistry, after being recruited to play softball for the university. Her dedication and hard work were evident in her ability to score in the 96th percentile on the MCAT while working three jobs and attending school full-time.
Dr. Munoz's academic prowess continued to grow at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where she graduated after scoring above the 90th percentile on both USMLE Step 1 and Step 2. Her impressive performance during the residency application process led to more than 20 interviews in her chosen specialty of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Ultimately, Dr. Munoz matched at a top 10 program in the country for this specialty, the University of Wisconsin, where she worked towards a fellowship in microsurgical reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Munoz's passion for advising and working with students stems from her own experiences and challenges throughout medical school and residency application processes. As the first in her family to graduate with a college degree, she overcame numerous obstacles in the preparation for and admission to medical school and residency, from which she learned immensely. This personal journey has fueled her desire to make the process more streamlined, straightforward, efficient, and successful for future students.
