Dr. Saleh is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist who served as a gynecologic oncology fellowship interviewer at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and an OB/GYN residency mock interviewer at NYU School of Medicine. She has over 15 peer-reviewed publications and served as the Research & Quality Improvement Chief Resident and Chief Diversity Ambassador at NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Saleh began her higher education journey by attending Rutgers University, where she graduated with a BA in English and biological sciences, along with a minor in women & gender studies. During her undergraduate years, she maintained a high GPA and received multiple honors, including the SAS Excellence Award.

She went on to graduate with an  MD from New York University School of Medicine, where she was recognized with awards such as the Joseph E. Constantine Award for Outstanding Scholarly Work in Obstetrics & Gynecology, the Alex Rosen Award for Excellence in Medicine and the Humanities, and the American Medical Women’s Association Medical Education Award. 

Dr. Saleh then completed an OB/GYN residency at NYU, serving as Research & Quality Improvement Chief Resident and Chief Diversity Ambassador, before pursuing a prestigious gynecologic oncology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She joined Capital Health Medical Center in New Jersey as a gynecologic oncologist, where she continues to provide compassionate, cutting-edge care.

With more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and numerous accolades—including GME Learner of the Month at Mount Sinai—Dr. Saleh’s research focuses on racial and ethnic disparities in gynecologic cancer care. 

Alongside her clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Saleh leverages over a decade of mentorship experience to guide prospective medical students and residents through the admissions process, bringing an invaluable perspective to each candidate’s applications. She considers personal statement review to be one of her greatest strengths and is passionate about helping students showcase their best selves through their application narratives. She takes the time to truly get to know each applicant, learning about their unique traits and experiences that will set them apart from the crowd in the application process.
