Dr. Yang is a first-generation college and professional school graduate from Dallas, TX. She obtained a full-tuition scholarship to fund her college education at the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences and sociology. Throughout college, she was a teaching assistant and served as a mentor for freshmen students. She was also involved in student leadership, volunteer work, and research.
Dr. Yang was awarded another scholarship when she started dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She was also active on campus in student organizations and leadership roles, including serving as her Class Vice President all four years.
With her background and experiences, Dr. Yang confidently leads pre-dental students to craft strong applications and reach their goals. She has a strong passion for mentorship because she attributes her successes to her mentors who helped her navigate the admissions process.
