Trisha studied physiology and neurobiology in the Honors College at the University of Maryland on a Dean’s Scholarship and National Merit Scholarship. Her foundation as an educator began during her undergraduate career, where she served as a teaching assistant for anatomy and physiology, delivering weekly anatomy lectures, helping write and review exams, and developing high-yield study materials for her class. Through this role, she honed her ability to break down complex concepts into clear, testable frameworks. Additionally, she has years of tutoring experience across pre-health subjects, including cell biology, organic chemistry, general chemistry, and math, allowing her to adapt instruction to different learning styles and levels of preparation. Her academic success is complemented by clinical and research experience as a research assistant at the Neuroplasticity Research Center at UMD, where she conducted research with older adults experiencing hearing loss.
As a DAT tutor, Trisha is known for her ability to simplify high-yield concepts with clarity and structure, plug knowledge gaps, and apply practical problem-solving strategies for each section of the exam. She helps students move beyond passive studying by creating strategic, personalized DAT study plans that maximize retention and performance. From Survey of Natural Sciences to Perceptual Ability and Reading Comprehension, Trisha prioritizes what matters most for the exam and adapts her teaching to each student’s pace, learning style, and goals to ensure steady progress.
Trisha is passionate about tutoring because she knows firsthand how challenging the path to dental school can be. As a first-generation dental student, she is dedicated to supporting students from all backgrounds and helping them navigate the DAT prep process with confidence. She takes pride in helping students improve their scores while making preparation feel manageable and looks forward to guiding them toward success.
