Dr. Gupta’s higher education journey began at Duke University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biomedical engineering, earning departmental distinction for his exceptional academic performance. Dr. Gupta worked as a bioengineer before attending JHUSOM, a role he continued throughout medical school and residency. Throughout medical school, Dr. Gupta was awarded multiple research grants totaling over $300,000. He was also awarded Best Poster at a Johns Hopkins Medical Student Research Symposium.

Dr. Gupta’s passion for tutoring stems from the support he has received from great mentors throughout his life. Dr. Gupta recognizes the value of having a supportive tutor on this challenging journey, and he is dedicated to providing that same level of support to students.

Dr. Gupta’s greatest strength as a tutor is his keen ability to assess each student’s strengths and areas for improvement with precision. He believes that each applicant is different and should not be treated as fitting into a cookie-cutter mold. His sessions are structured yet adaptable, allowing students to take the lead in identifying their focus areas while he provides targeted guidance and resources.
