Carrie attended the University of Texas at Tyler before pursuing her DDS at the University of Texas Health Houston School of Dentistry. At Tyler, she graduated magna cum laude with a BS in biochemistry and was awarded the Presidential Fellow's Scholarship. Students Carrie has coached have been accepted to dental schools at Texas A&M, Texas Tech University, Augusta University, and the University of Maryland.
Carrie’s research background includes work at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, where she contributed to a study on TMJ bone formation and was published by the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research. Her research experience adds valuable context to her guidance on crafting standout applications and resumes rooted in scientific engagement. Carrie also served as Treasurer of her dental school cohort and as President of the UT Health School of Dentistry Christian Medical and Dental Association.
One of Carrie's greatest strengths as a coach lies in breaking down the application process into manageable steps, empowering candidates to navigate each stage with confidence and clarity. Additionally, Carrie excels in helping applicants identify and articulate their unique strengths, ensuring their applications stand out amidst fierce competition.
