His involvement in campus life, including holding executive board positions for various social and academic student-run organizations, further demonstrates his leadership skills and commitment to academic excellence.
Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Ferrer has demonstrated a strong commitment to mentoring and guiding students. During his junior year of college, he worked as a science tutor for Binghamton University's athletic department and later took on the role of "At Risk Student Advisor," helping student-athletes meet the minimum academic standards required to compete.
During medical school, Dr. Ferrer continued to excel in research, earning several peer-reviewed publications. He also served as a Chair of the Student High-Value Care Committee, overseeing student-run clinical quality improvement initiatives. After graduating from SUNY Binghamton, he worked as a research coordinator for Columbia University's Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation while completing an M.S. in Health Systems Science from Binghamton University's Watson School of Engineering.
