Born and raised in Jamaica, she relocated to Florida at 18 to pursue higher education, earning a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Florida. An unexpected conversation with a dental student sparked her interest in dentistry, leading her to pursue post-baccalaureate studies to prepare for dental school.
Tashauna's academic path eventually led her to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she served as class president. With a DAT score of 24AA, she excels at simplifying complex topics and has a proven track record of helping students achieve their academic and professional goals.
During her undergraduate and post-baccalaureate years, Tashauna gained work experience as a Store Manager and Lead Orthodontic Assistant at Beautiful Smiles in North Miami. These roles helped her develop leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in the dental field. At Harvard, she served as the Lead Co-Coordinator for the Bridge to Dental program, which provided undergraduate students with an interactive curriculum to demystify the dental school application process.
Tashauna's passion for tutoring stems from her personal experience navigating the DAT, often without the necessary resources or mentors to guide her.
