Dr. Writt is a veterinarian at BluePearl Pet Hospital who graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, where she was the campus ambassador for the Veterinary Emergency Group. Dr. Writt has over four years of mentorship experience gives her a fresh perspective on the challenges faced by current applicants.

Dr. Writt earned her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before pursuing her DVM. During her time at UW–Madison, she began her journey in student support as a peer academic advisor, a role she continued for three years through her undergraduate and veterinary studies. This experience ignited her passion for counseling, as she found great fulfillment in supporting students both professionally and personally as they worked toward their goals.

In addition to her academic advising role, Dr. Writt served as a mentor for two years during veterinary school, further honing her skills in guiding and supporting students. Her experience in small and large animal clinical research has provided her with a deep understanding of the complexities of veterinary medicine. Her leadership roles in veterinary school extracurricular activities have also deepened her skills in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

As a consultant, Dr. Writt specializes in helping students navigate the application process by setting small, frequent, and specific goals to make it more manageable. She understands the stress associated with applying to veterinary school and strives to make the process as enjoyable as possible, often incorporating humor into her sessions to keep spirits high.

One of Dr. Writt's greatest strengths as a consultant is her skill in proofreading essays and personal statements. She excels at helping students refine their writing to ensure they stand out to admissions committees. Her coaching style focuses on identifying and highlighting each student's strengths, incorporating specific aspects of their personality to create compelling applications.

Dr. Writt approaches each counseling session with the individual student in mind, tailoring her guidance to their specific needs and goals. She draws from her personal experience with the application process to provide relevant, up-to-date advice, including current educational and admissions insights.

Her current veterinary interests include emergency medicine, surgery, primary care, and dermatology.  Her academic and counseling background allows Dr. Writt to offer comprehensive support to students aspiring to enter the field of veterinary medicine.
