At Johns Hopkins, Evan balanced rigorous academics with extensive extracurricular and research involvement. He was awarded First Place at the Johns Hopkins Medical Technology Network Hackathon, recognizing his ability to combine scientific insight with innovation and community needs. Evan currently works at a biotech startup developing novel drugs for mental health and neurodegenerative disorders, where he contributes to research and strategic development. Previously, he worked throughout undergrad as a specialty technician in the post-anesthesia care unit at a local hospital and as a research assistant in neuroscience labs. Deeply committed to mental-health advocacy, he also served as a peer listener through Johns Hopkins University’s counseling service, supporting students during moments of stress and transition. Evan’s academic contributions include multiple publications in the Journal of Neuro-Oncology, where his work explored predictive modeling of brain tumors, developing clinical insights.

Evan’s passion for tutoring began as an undergraduate, when he tutored courses such as public-health biostatistics and physics, eventually serving as a head physics tutor at Johns Hopkins. He finds deep satisfaction in helping others learn—transforming difficult scientific or CARS material into something intuitive and rewarding.
