Jed was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned his BS from the University of California, Davis, and pursued a dual MD/MPH degree at the UCSF School of Medicine. At UC Davis, he graduated with honors from his neurobiology, physiology, and behavior program with a double minor in psychology and public health sciences. Jed was also awarded the Distinguished Scholar Award for the College of Biological Sciences and the Gold Community Service Award for his independent research in musculoskeletal physiology and service to underserved communities in Davis and Sacramento, CA. His research now focuses on assessing bias in clinical decision tools, and he remains committed to healthcare equity through his work with free health clinics for unhoused populations. 

After college, Jed coached students, conducted clinical research at Stanford University focusing on Asian American health, and worked at a medical technology startup called Biospectal, developing innovative blood pressure diagnostic tools. He has published multiple first-author publications and presented his research to several national organizations, such as the American College of Sports Medicine, the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, and Pediatric Academic Societies. His personal medical school application experience includes receiving multiple acceptances and interviewing at top programs including Harvard and UCSF.

Jed also tutored biochemistry, mentored all aspects of undergraduate research through UCD’s Undergraduate Research Center, and empowered pre-health students from minority demographics through leadership within cultural pre-health organizations. Students he’s worked with have been accepted to top medical schools such as the UCSF School of Medicine (including the UCSF-UC Berkeley Joint Medical Program), Stanford University School of Medicine, UC Davis School of Medicine, the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and others.

Jed has reviewed a plethora of medical school applications and conducted numerous mock interviews as a med school admissions coach. He also teaches biochemistry at UC Berkeley as a Head Graduate Student Instructor and received the UC Berkeley Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

As a coach, Jed’s greatest strengths come from his own journey with his previous mentors. Due to his experience as a mentee, he knows exactly how to support and motivate students throughout the application process, from writing memorable essays to providing top-tier interview responses. He is committed to paying his talents forward by working with pre-med students in their professional pursuits.

Jeff Clark grew up in Ohio and graduated from Northwestern University magna cum laude with a degree in chemistry. Afterward, he remained in Chicago and is currently a fourth year medical student at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Jeff is also a graduate of the U.S. Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia.

Jeff’s passion for teaching and mentorship began as an undergraduate when he worked as a university-employed academic workshop leader in organic chemistry for three years. He has tutored hundreds of students in a variety of subjects throughout undergraduate and medical school. He scored in the 99th percentile on the MCAT and 260+ on the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK, and is eager to help aspiring physicians to reach their full potential and to find enjoyment in the many fascinating aspects of medicine.  Jeff and collaborators at Northwestern have published extensive first-of-its-kind research on the neurologic manifestations of COVID-19, and his research has been the subject of articles and interviews in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and other major print and televised media outlets.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jenna's journey to veterinary medicine began when she moved to California to pursue a Bachelor of Science in chemistry at Santa Clara University. Despite her initial focus on chemistry, Jenna's academic interests expanded, leading her to graduate with double majors in biochemistry and English and a minor in biology. Her academic excellence was recognized with her induction into the English Honors Society Sigma Tau Delta, and she cherishes her time as an active member of Rho Psi Eta, a pre-health sorority.

Jenna's passion for veterinary medicine is deeply personal. It stems from her experience with her beloved dachshund, Lucy, who suffered from Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD). The years of care, therapy, and support that followed Lucy's emergency surgery reinforced her commitment to animal welfare and veterinary medicine. 

Throughout her education, Jenna has gained diverse experience through volunteer work at animal shelters in Honolulu and Santa Clara, a small animal GP/Rehabilitation clinic, and a high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter clinic. She has also accumulated approximately six years of combined full-time experience working as a kennel and veterinary assistant at a small animal and exotics ER/GP. In these roles, Jenna has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, guinea pigs, rats, turtles, and chameleons. She is committed to continuing her work with all types of animals throughout her veterinary career.

Jenna also served as a Health Professions Peer Advisor, where she was part of an Advisory Committee to revamp her university's pre-health advising system. As the Veterinary Representative, she shared her experiences as a pre-vet student and guided them through the VMCAS application processes. Over the years, Jenna worked with numerous vet school candidates, reviewing their application essays and resumes while helping them target schools that aligned with their goals. She takes pride in her ability to recognize and highlight the qualities of each applicant, making the application process more seamless and effective.

Jenna’s core aspirations as an admissions counselor align closely with her personal and professional values. She approaches each relationship with an abundance of empathy and kindness. Having experienced the immense stress of applying to veterinary school herself, Jenna is dedicated to helping her mentees navigate that same process. She wants them to know that, though she now sits on the other side of the table, she and every other applicant were once in their position, and it’s completely natural to feel nervous. Jenna wants you to know that she’s on your team! 

Jessica is a student at the USC Keck School of Medicine MD program. She will be pursuing her residency training in Psychiatry. Jessica is originally from a northern suburb of Chicago, Illinois. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience with Honors. While at USC for her undergraduate degree, Jessica completed three years of research which culminated in an Honors Thesis titled, “Effects of Hormonal Contraception on Hippocampal Volume: A Neuroimaging Study.” After graduating, she obtained a position at the Stanford VA as the Clinical Study Coordinator for two Alzheimer’s disease-related neuroimaging studies. It was here that she discovered her love for clinical medicine and her desire to work with patients.

Since beginning medical school, she has served three years on the Evaluations and Selections committee and has interviewed many aspiring Keck MD applicants. She has mentored multiple students throughout their medical school admissions process, informally as well as formally through the American Medical  Women’s Association. She has also served on the board of multiple student interest groups, including Ob/Gyn, Medical Students for Choice, and Lifestyle Medicine. Her programming efforts for the latter group helped them win the Outstanding Nutrition/Culinary Programming Award at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine Conference in 2021. Jessica has also worked on several research projects while at Keck, including two studies that aimed to examine racial disparities in maternal morbidity as well as the relationship between anemia and severe maternal morbidity, as well one study that examined clinical outcomes of post-placental IUD placement in the setting of chorioamnionitis. These studies have resulted in several publications. Most recently, Jessica is working on a research study that aims to improve the treatment of depression in the primary care setting by implementing psychiatric collaborative care (PCC) conferences in a primary care clinic that serves mainly underprivileged patients. This project aims to reduce disparities in psychiatric care, a cause Jessica is very passionate about.

In her free time, Jessica loves to get outside and hike/camp in the national parks of California. Jessica’s excellent communication and writing/editing skills, combined with her passion for mentorship and experience with navigating the medical school admissions process, make her a confident and capable mentor.

Jesus began his educational journey at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the School of Arts and Sciences. He furthered his academic pursuits at Washington State University's Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, graduating with an MD and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Medicine and Healthcare. Currently, Jesus is honing his skills as an anesthesiology resident at NYP-Columbia University, where he continues to build on his foundation of medical excellence and leadership.

Jesus is deeply passionate about mentoring and coaching aspiring medical students through their application processes. This passion is rooted in his extensive volunteer work and the mentorship programs he has developed, including the Coug Health Academic Mentorship Program (CHAMP) and the Coug Doc Applicant Mock Interview (CAMI). Through these initiatives, he has demonstrated a commitment to supporting high school students with an interest in medicine and providing mock interviews for underrepresented medical student applicants.

With an ability to break down the medical school application process into manageable steps, Jesus excels in helping students identify and utilize their strengths. His holistic approach ensures that applicants not only present their best selves but also feel empowered throughout the process. Jesus's mentorship plays a crucial role in nurturing a new generation of skilled and diverse medical professionals.

Jewels’ higher education journey began at Dakota State University, where she spent three years as a human anatomy tutor and two years as an undergraduate research assistant. She graduated with a BS in human biology with a 4.0 GPA. Her years of mentoring, tutoring, and admissions experience position her as a knowledgeable guide for PA applicants. 

At the core of Jewels' mentoring philosophy is a genuine desire to empower the next generation of physician assistants. She recognizes that the journey to becoming a PA can be challenging, and she is committed to breaking down complex concepts into manageable, bite-sized pieces. By making even the most difficult topics accessible and engaging, Jewels helps her students build a strong foundation of knowledge and confidence.

One of Jewels’ greatest strengths as a mentor is her ability to listen deeply and forge meaningful connections with her students. She understands the fears, challenges, and aspirations that come with pursuing a career in healthcare, and she approaches each student with empathy, compassion, and unwavering support. Jewels tailors her approach to meet each student’s unique needs, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and guided every step of the way. 

Jill earned a BA in communication from La Salle University and spent several years working in advertising and editing before realizing that her true passion was medicine. She went on to attend Drexel University’s PA program and later became the first PA employed in an outpatient internal medicine practice in South Philadelphia, where she worked for several years before transitioning to academia. Jill currently serves as a professor for Temple University’s Physician Assistant Program. She joined Temple University after serving more than 16 years as an assistant professor and Director of Didactic Education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s (PCOM) PA program. Her diverse life experiences have shaped her unique perspective, strong work ethic, and natural ability to connect with others.

During her time at PCOM, Jill was deeply involved in admissions, serving as the Departmental Admissions Chair. She continues to play a significant role in the admissions process at Temple University, screening and interviewing applicants throughout the application cycle. As an educator, she has delivered lectures on a wide range of topics, including cardiology, women’s health, EENT, gastroenterology, neurology, nephrology, rheumatology, and genetics. She has also published three peer-reviewed articles in the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and presented a poster on her research involving the integration of mindfulness training into PA curricula.

As a counselor, Jill excels at helping students clarify their goals, articulate their strengths, and create compelling application materials. Drawing on extensive admissions experience, having evaluated 500 applications and interviewed more than 600 candidates, she offers students clear, strategic guidance rooted in firsthand knowledge of what distinguishes successful applicants. Jill remains committed to lifelong learning, reflective practice, and empowering future PAs to enter the profession as confident, compassionate clinicians.

Jingwen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Amherst College, where she completed a thesis and developed a keen interest in journalism, the history of medicine, and Asian American studies. Currently, she is a medical student at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

As an undergraduate student, Jingwen showed her passion for education by serving as a teaching assistant for various biology and statistics courses. She also provided guidance to aspiring medical professionals as a pre-health peer mentor. Demonstrating her commitment to helping others achieve their educational goals, Jingwen worked part-time as a college admissions essay advisor. 

Following her time at Amherst, Jingwen ventured into the field of medical writing during a gap year in Boston. During this period, she also made significant contributions to her community by volunteering as a facilitator for a youth program designed specifically for Asian American high school girls. 

At Columbia, Jingwen has been instrumental in providing free healthcare to those in need as a volunteer at a local clinic. She also served as a former Chapter President of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) and continued her love for teaching as a senior student teacher for pre-clinical students. Jingwen has also made her mark in the field of scientific research and medical journalism with several published articles to her name.

Upon completing her medical studies, Jingwen plans to begin her residency training in internal medicine, where she'll apply her skills and knowledge to provide quality care to her patients.

Jinnu studied at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. His alma mater was NYU, and he had an amazing term as president of the Pre-Dental Society. Jinnu finds inspiration in helping his peers, and other students realize their dreams of pursuing dentistry. During his college years, he juggled two part-time jobs, managed to excel academically, and contributed to a research team. Receiving a 24 on the DAT, he believes that everyone can achieve excellent performance on the DAT with professional guidance and resources, ensuring a greater chance to attend their dream dental school.

I grew up in Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland magna cum laude with a degree in public health science. Afterward, I moved to New Haven, Connecticut to pursue my PA degree at Yale School of Medicine.
My passion for mentorship began during my sophomore year when I started my YouTube channel about my journey to getting accepted into PA school. I began to realize a lot of people wanted me to mentor them, so I began advising my subscribers informally. I have gotten the opportunity to mentor about ten students and am eager to help aspiring physician assistants to reach their goals.
Beyond the classroom, I have a strong interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). During my undergraduate education, I served as the Chairwoman of the DEI committee and have continued these efforts now as the Co-chair of the DEI committee at Yale. I am also a recipient of the NHSC scholarship, which awards me full-tuition coverage!

Joann has a strong interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion. During her undergraduate education, she served as the Chairwoman of the DEI Committee. Her commitment to DEI is further recognized through her receipt of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship, which awarded her full tuition coverage. Joann's experience in healthcare is extensive, with over 3,000 hours of patient care experience across various specialties before graduating from PA school, including inpatient obstetrics and emergency medicine.

Joann's passion for mentorship began during her sophomore year when she started a YouTube channel about her journey to getting accepted into PA school. This platform allowed her to connect with aspiring PA students and provide informal guidance and advice. She has since mentored many students and is eager to continue helping others achieve their goals.

Her journey to becoming a physician assistant began at Duquesne University, where she graduated with a degree in human and health sciences with a minor in supply chain management. During her time at Duquesne, she gained clinical experience working as a patient care technician and medical assistant at various hospitals in Pittsburgh. This exposure to the clinical world of healthcare had a lasting impact on her, shaping her desire to pursue a career in patient care.

After graduating from Duquesne, Johanna worked as an IT systems analyst for Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, becoming certified in EPIC software. She also pursued her MBA degree with a focus on healthcare administration from Seton Hill University while working full-time. However, two years into her IT career, Johanna felt a strong desire to transition into the clinical aspect of healthcare.

Johanna was then accepted into Seton Hill University's physician assistant program. Her current role as a PA in cardiothoracic surgery is multifaceted, involving acute care in the hospital, clinic work in an outpatient setting, and working in the operating room. She helped to bring the need of physician assistants into the first assist role in the OR at her current hospital, something she is very passionate about. Johanna's passion for physician assistant studies is evident in her commitment to helping others join the field.

As a mentor, Johanna brings a blend of administrative and clinical experience to her role. Students she has coached have been accepted to PA programs including Seton Hill University, Quinnipiac University, and Monmouth University. 

Her understanding of the healthcare system, combined with her passion for patient care, positions her well to guide aspiring physician assistants through the challenges of PA school and the application process. Johanna is excited to share her knowledge and expertise with those eager to join the physician assistant profession.

Jonah was born in Dallas, TX. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, where he majored in Astrophysics and minored in Biophysics and Astrobiology while completing the pre-medical track. After college, he spent one gap year conducting breast cancer research at UCSF with a focus on biostatistics and bioinformatics. He then enrolled at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and is currently a fourth-year medical student.

Throughout medical school, Jonah has had an interest in surgery and applying his computational skill set to explore next-generation sequencing projects as they relate to reconstructive surgical procedures. He mentors Harvard undergraduates on medical school admissions and serves as a Non-Resident Tutor for Harvard College’s Adams House.

Jonah is a firm believer in holistic mentorship and in getting to know his applicants beyond the numbers and requirements. He enjoys long walks through Boston, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, poetry, and is an avid consumer of stand-up comedy. He is energetic and cares deeply about helping applicants achieve their goals.

Jonathan is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where he majored in Neuroscience. While an undergraduate, he did extensive basic and clinical research in the fields of Neurology, Orthopedics, and Anesthesiology. After graduating with Honors, he completed his MD at Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine, where he performed research in Anesthesiology and participated in a healthcare administrative internship.

Jonathan also served as a member of the Admissions Committee while at the Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine, both for the MD and BS/MD programs. He was intimately involved in the application process, where he interviewed numerous candidates and gained extensive training in application review. Jonathan is currently a resident in Anesthesiology at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell. He has published papers on infection prevention and quality improvement protocols during residency.

Jonathan has spent time in healthcare administration and intends to pursue this extensively after completing his residency, giving him a unique perspective of the high-level changes in healthcare applicable to incoming applicants. Jonathan has also founded his own start-up company dedicated to infection prevention in the healthcare setting. The company has filed patents, raised seven figures in investment dollars, and is bringing products to the market at large. He was the winner of Innovate LI, Innovator of the Year award for his work on the company.

Jordan Middleton is a rising D4 at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and plans to pursue oral and maxillofacial surgery residency upon graduation. He is a Fellow in the Office of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, where he specializes in leading programs designed to prepare undergrad students for the dental school application process. He also works closely with the Office of Admissions at HSDM - giving talks to colleges on behalf of HSDM, meeting with interviewees before and after their interview day, etc. One of the biggest projects he collaborated on, Bridge to Dental School, was awarded the 2021 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award by Insight into Diversity Magazine.

Jordan knows what it takes to gain admission to dental school. He received a full-tuition scholarship from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and numerous other scholarship offers from elite dental schools. Jordan hopes to take an active role in his client's paths to dental school and is determined to make "dream schools" a reality for each and every client he serves.

Jordan completed her Bachelor of Science at Azusa Pacific University before earning her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Duke University School of Medicine. During her time at Duke, she was an active participant in many service projects, including volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House and serving the local community. Her rotation at St. Jude's Hospital further honed her skills and deepened her passion for medicine, solidifying her commitment to making a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable patients. She also participated in medical missions in Peru and Mexico, providing much-needed care to underserved patients. 

In addition to her commitment to serving underserved and vulnerable communities, Jordan is deeply passionate about supporting students. With five years of experience as a mentor, she has guided numerous students through the PA application process and offered invaluable academic advice on the best prerequisite courses. 

Jordan’s unwavering passion for medicine, coupled with her relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence, inspires her to mentor the next generation of PAs. She encourages them to make distinctive contributions to the healthcare system and to stand out as compelling applicants. She knows exactly what it takes to pull strengths directly from experiences in order to make a lasting impression on admissions. Her journey is a testament to the impact that dedicated and compassionate healthcare professionals can have on their communities and beyond.

As a coach, Jordan excels at customizing her approach to each student’s specific strengths, achievements, and distinctive qualities. She takes a structured approach, tackling one task at a time to prevent overwhelming applicants. This approach ensures ample time for perfecting each component of the application, maximizing each student's chances of success.

Before attending Gannon University’s PA program, Jordan graduated with a Bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Texas at Austin and gained a year’s worth of experience as an orthopedic technician. She was the recipient of multiple awards and scholarships, including the Tina Bonci Excellence in Athletic Training Award and Scholarship and the University of Texas College of Education College Scholar Honor.

Jordan’s extensive history in leadership and mentorship extends beyond Gannon University to include her leading a mentor-based seminar course for college freshmen at her alma mater. She also recently wrote a literature review on Commotio Cordis in Athletics that has been approved for publication in a peer-reviewed medical journal. While in PA school, Jordan was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants and received the Academic Excellence Award for her PA class. 

Jordan's strength lies in her robust leadership and mentorship roles, which she leverages to guide and inspire aspiring physician assistants. This passion for teaching and mentorship is complemented by her experience as an evaluator in physician assistant program interviews for prospective students. Known for her structured and goal-oriented approach, Jordan helps applicants break the process down into clear, manageable steps while keeping sight of their long-term objectives. She’s both encouraging and patient, creating a calm, supportive environment where applicants feel confident asking questions and overcoming challenges.

Joseph has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Utah Valley University and is a student at the Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine. Although Joseph didn’t decide to become a veterinarian until later in life, his unique experiences with animals in his childhood were still a significant part of his story. Often referred to as the “next Steve Irwin,” he was known to breed black widows, raise rattlesnakes, catch minks, and help discover new insects. However, when he began his undergraduate studies, he pursued business management. Though he thrived, Joseph felt something was missing. He decided to take several career-matching tests, and to no one’s surprise, ‘veterinarian’ was at the top of the list. 

At 21 years old, without prior experience, he set out to find a job shadowing opportunity at a veterinarian’s office and found his calling. His passion for the field was immediate, leading him to work with various animals in different settings, including an accredited zoo. He pursued his interest further through the ADVS-Agricultural Dairy Veterinary Science program at Utah State University, which partnered with Washington State University. 

Joseph then went on to work with wild bison for the state of Utah, aided in the Elk management plan, and is currently on the revision committee. He has also worked in emergency and shelter medicine to grasp all the avenues of veterinary medicine. Joseph won the Merck Scholarship, the Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic Scholarship, and received honor’s BCP certification with the VBMA-Veterinary Business Management Association while serving as the acting recruiter and treasurer for the club. He not only helped start the Virgin Chapters at Arizona and Western veterinary schools, but also founded the histology club at the Western University of Health Sciences, actively seeking to help younger classmates understand through tutoring sessions.

Joseph’s passion for veterinary medicine is infectious and leaves students with a lasting impression from their first visit! He has taught summer veterinary mentorship camps for high school and undergraduate students, setting them on their path to discovering the wonders of veterinary medicine. 

As an admissions counselor, Joseph excels at providing timely and quality feedback on essays and personal statements, helping many gain admission into veterinary schools. Along with his financial background, Joseph has interviewed and scouted students for Western University, hosted dozens of Q&A panels for visiting parents and prospective students, and worked as a campus tour guide. These experiences have ensured he is well-equipped to anticipate students’ questions and concerns and help them navigate financial constraints.

He entered medicine after a distinguished career as one of New York’s leading medical simulation educators and a former paramedic. With more than 10 years of experience designing, delivering, and directing high-stakes interprofessional simulation training across the major health systems, Joseph has trained thousands of clinicians, including physicians, nurses, PAs, respiratory therapists, and EMS providers, in crisis resource management, teamwork, and clinical decision-making under pressure. Recognizing the power of experiential learning, he joined Northwell Health’s Center for Learning and Innovation, rising quickly to Lead Simulation Faculty. 

Joseph has co-created and directed more than ten system-wide simulation programs, launched mobile simulation units, played a pivotal role in Northwell’s COVID-19 response training, and served as primary faculty for Simulation Instructor and Crisis Resource Management courses. As an adjunct faculty instructor at Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies, he helped launch the graduate school and shaped core simulation-based learning objectives.

As a clinical preceptor at NewYork-Presbyterian’s PICU, one of the nation’s top pediatric ICUs, he serves as Lead Educator for rotating PA students and new clinicians, mentoring them in advanced critical care reasoning, procedural competence, and resilient professional identity formation. He also designs and facilitates in-situ simulations and high-fidelity workshops that strengthen team performance and patient safety across the children’s hospital. His enduring commitment to mentorship is rooted in the transformative guidance he received early in his career—motivation he now pays forward to future advanced practice providers.

As a counselor, Joseph’s strengths lie in his highly individualized, deeply analytical approach. Drawing on his background as a paramedic, simulation leader, and clinical preceptor, he helps students uncover authentic narratives, refine professional identity, and demonstrate clinical reasoning with clarity and confidence. He excels at quickly identifying strengths, blind spots, and opportunities for growth. 

Joseph is driven by a passion for high-performance clinical education, resilient professional identity formation, and bridging the gap between classroom learning and critical care practice. He is energized by helping students articulate compelling stories, prepare for competitive specialties, and navigate the transition into demanding clinical environments with confidence.
