Amam graduated from the University of Iowa in 2019 with a BS in Human Physiology. He is currently in his first year of Dental School at The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry. Amam has a diverse background when it comes to involvement in areas such as research, internships, working background, and community service. Amam took a gap year after graduating from undergrad to work as a dental assistant and manage his family’s convenience store.

Amam was born in Barcelona, Spain, and immigrated to the U.S. in 2001 at the age of 4. He comes from a Pakistani family and has lived his life moving throughout the Midwest. Amam spent most of his life growing up in the rural community of Keokuk, Iowa.

Amam participated in MHIRT (Minority Health-Disparities International Research Training) Internship in the summer of 2018 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Amam’s research project consisted of recording the association between tobacco usage and dental malocclusion in the patient population.

Amam also participated in SHPEP (Summer Health Professions Education Program) at the University of Iowa in 2017. In SHPEP, Amam gained clinical exposure and learned about the social determinants of health with a heightened emphasis on collaboration across health professions. Amam has been passionate about helping underrepresented students find their way to their respective programs. He has mentored students in orientation-based programs and held executive office positions in organizations that help students receive proper information on applying to medical, dental, and pharmacy programs.

In dental school, Amam held the position of president for his class and currently holds the position of communications chair in the Orthodontics Club at the College of Dentistry. Amam is currently starting his research project in craniofacial microsomia and cleft lip and palate genetics.

Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in speech and hearing science from the University of Utah. Prior to PA school, Amanda gained extensive experience in emergency medical services and EMS education, laying a strong foundation for her future in emergency medicine. Her clinical experience spans various specialties, including occupational medicine/urgent care, rural medicine, outpatient cardiology, inpatient pediatric psychiatry, and COVID-19 clinical research. 

After graduating from Tufts University School of Medicine’s PA program, Amanda pursued a Doctorate of Medical Science at Butler University. Her ultimate career goal is to become a PA educator, where she can share her knowledge and experience with the next generation of medical professionals. She exhibits a strong commitment to medical education and excellence in patient care, establishing a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and continuous growth in the medical field.

Amanda's passion for counseling stems from her love of PA education and her desire to help future PAs succeed. Her doctorate in PA education has equipped her with a deep understanding of the field, and she is committed to being actively involved in its evolution. What sets Amanda apart as a consultant is her holistic approach to the pre-PA experience. She not only helps students with their applications and interviews but also provides emotional support during this challenging time. 

Amanda's approach to counseling is laid-back and flexible. Amanda's greatest strength as a consultant is her ability to help applicants recognize and highlight their individual strengths. With over two years of experience in mentoring and consulting, Amanda has helped students who might be considered "lower quality" applicants secure admission to PA school. Her experience as a statistics TA and tutor has also given her a comprehensive understanding of how to break down complex concepts and make them accessible to students.

Amanda completed her undergraduate degree in athletic training from Duquesne University followed by her physician assistant training at Elon University. In her current role at Emory Healthcare, she has made significant contributions to patient care, including the development of a fracture liaison service that connects patients with recent insufficiency fractures to endocrinology for the management of osteoporosis.

Throughout her journey as a PA, Amanda has provided shadowing opportunities and been a valuable resource for students seeking advice on the application process and the profession as a whole. Her enthusiasm for the field and dedication to helping others succeed make her an ideal mentor for those who are passionate about becoming physician assistants.

Amanda's greatest strength as a counselor is her ability to help students identify their own strengths and break down the complex PA school application process into manageable tasks. Drawing from her personal experiences as a swimming coach and her extensive work with GAPA, she is skilled at providing guidance and support to prospective PA students at every stage of their journey.

Amanda's impressive academic achievements and diverse experiences make her an invaluable resource for aspiring dental students. She majored in nutritional sciences and minored in health disparities in society at the University of Florida, where she was awarded the Bright Futures Scholarship for high academic achievement. 

Amanda's passion for dentistry and helping others is evident through her various experiences, including working as an expanded functions dental assistant at a general dentistry practice and volunteering at the Florida Mission of Mercy and FreeD.O.M. Clinic. Her research experience as an assistant in a clinical lab specializing in precision ketogenic therapy for patients with intractable epilepsy further demonstrates her commitment to advancing healthcare.

Amanda's experience in the public speaking community, both as a speaker coach for TEDxUF and as a speech judge for the Florida Blue Key Speech & Debate Tournament and the Harvard National Speech and Debate Tournament, has equipped her with the skills to help students articulate their stories when applying to dental school. Students Amanda has coached have been accepted to dental schools, including the University of Southern California, the University of Florida, Columbia University, and Harvard University. 

As an admissions consultant, Amanda excels at helping students put their best foot forward in their applications. Drawing from her admissions and coaching experience, she ensures that students can effectively showcase their greatest strengths while addressing any weaknesses, ultimately increasing their chances of getting accepted into their desired dental school. Structured and process-focused, Amanda creates clear plans and provides step-by-step guidance, making the journey to dental school more manageable. 

Amita Ghuman did a 6 year combined Bachelors/MD program at Howard University in Washington D.C and graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology and Doctorate in Medicine. She then went on to complete a 3 year pediatrics residency at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Amita's first job after residency was an oncology/bone marrow transplant hospitalist at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. From there, she worked at a community hospital pediatric emergency room in Columbia, Maryland. Currently, she is employed at a pediatric urgent care in Northern Virginia where she has been. Throughout these work experiences, she has enjoyed teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. Amita has a few publications which include case reports, posters, and qualitative research on topics that range from colon cancer research, Alzheimer's and pediatric oncology. She has also won scholarship awards in medical school and residency and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha society in her fourth year of medical school.

Amy holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and an MBA from the Citadel. She completed her undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston, where she earned an accelerated Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

During her time at MUSC, Amy was actively engaged in leading the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) as its President. She was also nominated by her peers to join Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS), the pharmacy leadership society, and selected for the Presidential Scholars Program, where she tackled pressing health care issues. Amy completed internships as the Science Communications and Marketing Intern at OneSkin and the Innovation Intern at Cetaphil, honing her skills in various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. She also served as a student ambassador, where she gave tours and answered questions from pre-pharmacy students. 

As an admissions coach, Amy is passionate about helping pre-pharmacy students navigate the challenging, confusing, and often stressful admissions process. With her vast experience and knowledge, Amy is eager to support her clients in their pursuit of excellence throughout the application process, ensuring they reach their goal of being accepted into pharmacy school.

Amy pursued her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She served as an undergraduate research assistant at her college for four years. In dental school, Amy helped applicants craft authentic and compelling stories, identifying their key strengths and tailoring narratives to resonate with admissions committees. As an experienced MMI interviewer at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, she understands what top dental schools value and equips students with the confidence and clarity to present their best selves.

As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, Amy received full tuition support along with a stipend. Her leadership spans roles such as President of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry Club, Vice‑President of the Xi Psi Phi Fraternity (where she helped re‑charter the chapter), and Honor Council Liaison. She has also been conducting cutting‑edge pain research with the Emrick Lab, earning national recognition for her presentations.

Amy has developed telehealth workflows at Michigan’s Integrative Special Care Clinic and helps lead Taft Clinic, a free dental clinic for underserved patients. She is passionate about advancing equitable oral healthcare through community engagement, behavioral health integration, and research. Amy also supports outreach through Give Kids A Smile, global service trips to Kenya, and advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.

As an admissions mentor, Amy takes an individualized, strategic approach to each applicant she works with. She focuses on identifying key strengths and helping students tell authentic, compelling stories through their applications. With a strong eye for narrative structure and detail, she empowers applicants to problem-solve, refine their materials, and confidently present themselves throughout the admissions process. Students Amy has coached have been accepted to dental schools at the University of Michigan, the University of Washington, the University of Illinois, and other institutions. 

Amy brings a well-rounded perspective to dental admissions consulting, having successfully applied through both AADSAS and TMDSAS as an out-of-state applicant, earning acceptances to every school she applied to with competitive scholarships to top programs. 

Amy graduated from Wellesley College with highest honors (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), earning a double major in German studies and chemistry. During her time at Wellesley College, Amy received multiple awards recognizing her academic excellence, including the Jean V. Crawford Prize in Chemistry, the Introductory Chemistry Award, and the Elizabeth Vogel Falk Prize in German. She was further honored with the Judith Adams ’75 Prize for Premedical Students for her outstanding performance in the pre-medical and pre-dental curriculum. At Wellesley, Amy served as a campus ambassador and tour guide for the Office of Admissions and as Vice President of the Pre-Dental Society.

Inspired by the intersection of the sciences and the humanities, Amy discovered dentistry as the perfect blend of science, art, and human connection—an interdisciplinary field that aligns with her academic passions and personal values. Amy’s research has been published in multiple prestigious journals, including Pediatric Blood & Cancer, The Clinical Teacher, the Journal of Dental Education, and the Journal of Dental Sciences and Education. 

Amy has a strong background in teaching and tutoring across a variety of subjects and age groups. She has designed curricula and taught courses in English Writing, SAT English, and introductory Mandarin Chinese, in addition to serving as a German and chemistry tutor during her undergraduate years. Her diverse teaching experiences have equipped her with the ability to adapt her instructional style to meet the unique learning needs of each student. 

Amy’s approach to dental school admissions counseling is personalized, strategic, and deeply student-centered. Students whom Amy has coached have been accepted to top dental schools at Penn Dental Medicine, UCSF, UCLA, Texas A&M, the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and the University of Texas at Houston.

Amy focuses on helping each applicant identify and articulate their unique strengths and experiences to stand out in a competitive admissions landscape. Viewing her work as an extension of peer mentorship, she takes pride in helping students uncover their potential and craft authentic, compelling narratives. Her own interdisciplinary background enables her to guide students from both traditional and nontraditional paths to dentistry with insight and empathy.

Ana is deeply committed to delivering and advocating for high-quality care to underserved and diverse populations. As a PA student, she actively engaged with her community by volunteering at the student-run HAVEN Clinic, which provides medical services to individuals who are uninsured and ineligible for Medicaid. She also volunteered with the Neighborhood Health Project (NHP), offering glucose and blood pressure screenings to individuals experiencing homelessness. During PA school, she also received the Yale School of Medicine Leadership Award and the Connecticut Academy of Physician Associates PA Student of the Year Award. 

At the University of Maine, Ana volunteered with Operation H.E.A.R.T.S and Medical Outreach Maine, where she became passionate about expanding medical care through teaching opportunities. This passion brought her to serve as President of the University of Maine’s chapter for Partners for World Health. This role afforded her the opportunity to travel to Uganda to serve local and refugee obstetric populations with prenatal education and care. Prior to PA school, Ana honed her patient care skills as a clinical trial coordinator at Boston Children’s Hospital and as a nursing assistant at Dirigo Pines retirement community. These experiences gave her a strong foundation in patient care and a deep passion for health education. 

Upon finishing PA school, Ana has become an active member of the Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants. She continues to use her health policy knowledge and passion for health education to serve in an advisory capacity in underserved communities as she provides quality care in the field of dermatology. Students Ana has coached have been accepted to PA programs at Tufts University, George Washington University, James Madison University, the University of Delaware, and others. 

Ana’s commitment to mentorship and education is evident in her diverse experiences, from intensive one-on-one sessions with prospective professional students to leading large group events to level the playing field in the admissions process. As a PA from a rural Maine town with no immediate or extended family members in healthcare, she is excited to guide the next generation of physician assistant leaders in achieving their goals, no matter their background.

Before PA school, Andrea graduated summa cum laude with a BA in biology from Franklin Pierce University while playing college ice hockey. During her gap year, she was the Hiring Manager for ScribeAmerica for seven varying medical specialties and managed and mentored 45 employees, most of whom were pre-med or pre-PA. As a pediatric neurosurgery PA transitioning to urology PA, she held several leadership roles in surgical safety research and child advocacy. 

Andrea graduated as valedictorian from the Marietta College Physician Assistant program. During her time there, she was a member of the student government and presented Grand Rounds at various clinical rotations. She was also responsible for interviewing and providing tours to applicants. 

As a coach, Andrea is a firm believer that personal statements are the heart of an application. She is a creative writer in her free time and has seen firsthand how personal statements are the heart of an application when there are thousands of applications to review. She prides herself on her ability to help students craft excellent personal statements to make their applications stand out amongst the crowd. She also excels at helping students develop and strengthen their interview skills to ensure they make a lasting impression on their interviewers. 

Andrew graduated from Pomona College with a degree in neuroscience and a minor in mathematics. During his undergraduate years, he demonstrated leadership as the captain of both the varsity football and baseball teams and held multiple leadership positions within the college. His involvement in neuroscience research for three years through the David Prober lab at Caltech further improved his academic experience. After graduation, Andrew took a gap year to gain additional clinical and research experience, working as a scribe in an emergency department and at start-ups in radiology and ophthalmology.

In medical school, he found a passion for orthopedics and orthopedic research. Andrew recently completed a research fellowship at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush University Medical Center. 

As a counselor, Andrew excels in guiding pre-med students through the application process. His leadership roles in medical school, including serving as President of the OSU American Medical Association chapter and the Honors and Professionalism Council, highlight his commitment to professionalism and mentorship. His election to the Gold Humanism Honors Society reflects his dedication to compassionate care and ethical practice.

Andrew's passion for working with younger students and helping them achieve their dreams is evident in his mentoring approach. He loves sharing the knowledge he has gained during his training and is eager to pass it down to the next generation of medical professionals. His strengths lie in effective communication, strategic planning, and providing objective feedback. Andrew looks forward to working with aspiring medical students, helping them navigate the challenges of the application process and achieve their dreams in medicine.

After finishing his undergraduate degree in computer science at UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), Anil attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, he completed General Practice and Oral Medicine residencies. Afterward, he practiced in hospital, community health, and academic settings. Anil has served on the admissions committees at both Harvard and his residency program.

In addition to my dental training, Anil also completed a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and has technical certifications in Data Science and Business Analytics. In 2020, he transitioned out of teaching and patient care to pursue a career in Healthcare Analytics.

Anil feels that his experience applying to dental school was quite stressful and lonely, as he did not have any support in the form of a pre-dental advisor for guidance and advice. He looks forward to serving as a mentor, so students do not have to feel isolated during the application journey.

Anjali is currently pursuing a dual PA/MPH at Tufts University, bringing a unique perspective to the Inspira team as an admissions coach. She has a profound background in Neurobiology, with her undergraduate degree earned from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Anjali's initial career path led her to a healthcare media company where she coordinated educational conferences for hospital CEOs. She then transitioned to clinical work at Northwestern Medicine as a research coordinator in rheumatology. Her career took a turn towards the non-profit sector with MEDLIFE, where she led volunteers in mobile medical clinics in medically underserved communities in rural Cusco, Peru.

This experience fueled Anjali's passion and determined her career goal: working with grassroots organizations to enhance healthcare access and fairness whilst providing hands-on care for patients. These experiences led her back to the US to apply to PA/MPH dual degree programs. Anjali is now thrilled to use her valuable experience to help prospective PAs achieve their career goals. She is a firm believer in the PA profession's potential to increase healthcare access, advocating for increased diversity in the field.

Anjan holds a dual degree in Neuroscience and Music Composition from Northwestern University. He is currently pursuing his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University and intends to specialize in OB/GYN.

Anjan began his scientific journey as a high school student, conducting lab research during his summers within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Feinberg School of Medicine. These experiences not only fostered his curiosity for medicine but also led to his involvement in various research publications. As a medical student at Case Western, Anjan continues to demonstrate his dedication to scientific discovery while also maintaining a strong commitment to education. His passion for both learning and teaching has led him to serve as a leader in Case Western’s Horizons Mentoring Program, where he mentors both undergraduate and high school students with interests in healthcare sciences.

Aside from his pursuits in the medicine field, Anjan's interests extend to the world of art and music, an area he has continually merged with his passion for healthcare. During his time at Northwestern University, he directed a documentary film that shed light on food insecurity amongst college students. He has also scored several films throughout college and medical school, collaborated with local Cleveland musicians, and released music on various streaming platforms. Perhaps most notably, he has founded an organization dedicated to teaching music production to children who have been victims of violent trauma, demonstrating the synthesis of his commitment to both healthcare and the arts.

As a counselor, Anjan's broad spectrum of experiences allows him to bring a unique perspective to his mentees. His diverse background in science, music, and mentoring equip him with the ability to guide aspiring healthcare professionals on their journey. He strives to ensure students not only excel academically but also develop their unique passions, just as he has.

Before attending the University of Arizona, Anna received a BS from Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU), majoring in biology and minoring in Spanish. She attended SVSU on a full-ride President’s scholarship and was an active member of the honor program, Phi Delta Epsilon medical fraternity, and the Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honor Society.

Anna has nursing experience in emergency, progressive care, telemetry, pediatrics, and medical-surgical. With a robust academic background and extensive experience, Anna is dedicated to leadership and teaching in the nursing field. She leverages her knowledge and passion for mentorship to support and guide nursing students and new graduates, fostering a fun and engaging learning environment.

Annie's academic journey began at the University of Pittsburgh, where she graduated with a degree in nutrition science with a concentration in psychology and a certificate in conceptual foundations of medicine. Annie's passion for healthcare and mentoring is evident in her extensive involvement in various academic and professional activities. During college, she actively participated in numerous clubs and organizations, including Pitt's PA Club, Nutrition and Dietetics Club, and Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, where she also served on the executive board. She was a teaching assistant for a nutrition course and became a voluntary mentor for other students wanting to pursue physician assistant studies.

Her work experience spans various healthcare settings, including roles as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care facilities, a patient care technician in multiple hospital units, a medical assistant in family medicine, and a personal care aide. This breadth of experience allows her to provide insights into different healthcare career paths and the realities of working in the field. 

As a counselor, Annie's strengths lie in her diverse experiences and ability to relate to students at different stages of their academic journey. Annie showed leadership as President of her cohort’s Physician Assistant Club and through her experience as a student representative for accreditation visits. Her experience on the Gannon University PA admissions committee provides her with insider knowledge into what PA programs expect from applicants. She is dedicated to inspiring and guiding the next generation of healthcare professionals. 

Anush Swaminathan is an MD-PhD at the Yale School of Medicine. Anush is originally from New Jersey and graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with honors in both Biology and Philosophy. At BU, Anush was a Trustee Scholar covering his full cost of attendance for all four years and received the Provost’s Award for Academic Excellence, Biology Department Excellence in Scholarship prize, and the Philosophy department Robert S. Cohen award for interdisciplinary studies. Anush was selected for prestigious science research fellowships at the Weizmann Institute in Israel and the EPFL in Switzerland and conducted research at Harvard Medical School in biochemistry for four years (the last three years of undergrad and his gap year). Anush also worked in ethics and the philosophy of science, with his philosophy thesis work being on the role of animal models in helping basic science transition into translational research.

Anush was accepted into many top MD-PhD programs, including Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Cornell Tri-I, NYU, UChicago, and UMichigan, choosing Yale for the Yale System, strength in immunology and genetics research, and amazing culture. Anush serves on the YNHH Ethics Committee and was the leader of the Bioethics Interest Group and the Internal Medicine Interest Group. Currently having completed his first two years of medical school and in his first year of a Ph.D. in Genetics, Anush has an intimate understanding of both the medical school and graduate school admissions process, having helped organize MD and MD-PhD interviews for applicants. Anush has also independently mentored dozens of applicants for MD, MD-PhD, DO, and BS/MD programs. His mentees were accepted to their top-choice programs across the country, including Harvard, Columbia, WashU UTSW, Stanford, and UWashington.

Anush’s strengths are his ability to work closely with mentees, helping strengthen their voice to tell their own unique stories. As a first-generation medical student, Anush is aware of the pitfalls in the medical school admissions process and is committed to helping students personalize strong applications. At Inspira, Anush has extensive experience with school selection, primary and secondary applications, essay editing, and mock interviewing. Anush is excited to further his passion for mentee advocacy by supporting the goals and vision of his clients and helping them fashion the strongest application possible.

Prior to PA school, Anusha graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland College Park with a BS in public health science and a Spanish minor. She attended UMaryland on a full-ride Banneker Key Scholarship and was named a Senior Marshal for demonstrating high levels of academic excellence, community service, extracurricular involvement, and personal growth. Additionally, she explored intricate neural pathways as an undergraduate research assistant. 

Anusha’s journey as a PA leader began during her undergraduate years as President of the Pre-PA Society. In this role, she directly mentored hundreds of students on the PA school application process, hosted resume and CASPA workshops, and fostered connections with local PA programs to enrich opportunities for her peers. Anusha also actively championed student health initiatives as a member of the Student Health Advisory Board (SHAC), advocating for student wellness resources on campus.

Her primary clinical experiences came from being a medical assistant in internal medicine and pediatrics. Anusha was also a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at an assisted living facility and a physical therapist aide during her school breaks. Her commitment to global health manifested in volunteering abroad in Guatemala through the Alternative Breaks program, where she honed her Spanish proficiency. 

Anusha's greatest strength as a counselor is her extensive experience working with students and creating efficient application timelines. Her success in applying to 14 schools, culminating with interview invitations from each, attests to her knack for knowing exactly what admission committees are looking for and her ability to help students tailor their applications accordingly. Anusha understands how stressful applying to PA school can be and uses a personalized approach to allow applicants to navigate the process with confidence and clarity. 

Anusha approaches admissions counseling with an effort to get to know each student before offering them a personalized timeline and plan for PA school applications. She hopes to align each student’s personal expectations with her own recommendations when creating strategic goals. She diligently provides ongoing support throughout the entire application process. 

Apexa's passion for sports medicine began in high school when she shadowed her school's athletic trainer. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Georgia, gaining firsthand experience working with high-level student-athletes, many of whom became professionals. During her gap year, she worked at a private clinic, developing and implementing exercise rehabilitation programs for patients.

Apexa pursued a Master of medical science in physician assistant studies at Lincoln Memorial University and has been working in orthopedics and sports medicine ever since. She has experience in orthopedic surgery, treating athletes on the sidelines, and seeing patients in outpatient clinics. She has also worked at Resurgens Orthopedics, the largest multi-specialty orthopedic group in Georgia, and the Cedars Sinai Orthopedics Department, a top nationally-ranked hospital system in Los Angeles.

Apexa's knowledge and passion for medicine, combined with her experience as a coach, make her an ideal PA school admissions counselor. She genuinely enjoys guiding students in the right direction to help them achieve their academic goals. 

Apexa takes the time to individualize each counseling session to fit the needs of students on their journey to become physician assistants. Her greatest strengths are her listening, organization, and essay editing skills. She has a calming and caring personality that helps alleviate the stress of the application process. She is a very proactive and motivational individual when it comes to getting things done and has helped numerous PA students navigate the application cycle.
