Dr. Hossain completed her BA and BS in anthropology and biology from the University of Florida, followed by a DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She completed an endodontics residency at Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dental Medicine, and currently works as an associate endodontist.

As a graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Hossain brings a unique perspective to dental school admissions consulting. Her experience on the Harvard admissions committee, combined with her commitment to mentoring undergraduate students, gives her an insider's view of what it takes to succeed in dental school applications.

Dr. Basilice’s journey into dentistry began following a childhood incident that resulted in dental trauma. This experience, which required a decade of treatment from various dental specialists, inspired him to pursue a career in dentistry to help others regain their confidence and self-esteem.

Dr. Basilice's academic journey began at St. John's University, where he earned a BS in biology with an exceptional 3.9 GPA while participating in water polo, swim team, and tutoring university athletes. His outstanding performance on the DAT helped him secure his acceptance to the New York University School of Dentistry, where he completed the four-year program in just three years. After passing the National Dental Boards, Dr. Basilice completed a general surgical residency at Beekman Downtown Hospital in Manhattan, where he simultaneously established his first practice.

While serving as an admissions committee member at NYU and Beekman Downtown Hospital, Dr. Basilice reviewed over 1,000 applications and interviewed 250+ students. This experience honed his ability to pinpoint precisely what selective dental schools and dental residency programs seek in applicants. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Basilice has built two successful dental practices—one on 5th Avenue in Manhattan and another in Suffolk County, Long Island—which he continues to operate today. His commitment to community service extended beyond dentistry when, following Hurricane Katrina, he founded EnviroSafe, a disaster recovery and relief company that has since assisted victims of other natural disasters including Superstorm Sandy. The company also specializes in virus decontamination for HVAC systems in schools and buildings. His humanitarian efforts have earned him recognition as a member of the FEMA National Council, the National Green Council, and the International Sustainability Council. He is also affiliated with the First and Tenth District National Dental Association and the National Association of Architects.

Dr. Basilice has dedicated over 20 years to mentoring and coaching aspiring dental professionals. He has maintained a comprehensive mentorship program in his practices, allowing pre-dental students and dental assistants to shadow him and explore the profession. His guidance has helped several individuals gain acceptance to top dental schools, including NYU, Stony Brook, the University of Connecticut, Boston University, the University at Buffalo, the University of Pennsylvania, and many others.

Before pursuing higher education in dental medicine, Dr. Gramacy graduated from the University of Florida (UF) with a BS in applied physiology and kinesiology with a minor in Spanish. She received multiple scholarships at UF, including four years of being named to the University of Florida Dean’s Academic Honor List and being selected for the President’s Honor Roll and the State of Florida Academic Scholars Award

Dr. Gramacy also has a robust academic and clinical research background, beginning in her undergraduate years and continuing through dental school and residency. Her work spans oral medicine, oral health policy, behavioral neuroscience, and periodontology. She has presented her findings at multiple regional and national venues, including the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the San Francisco Dental Society, and UCSF Research and Clinical Excellence Day. She recently presented at the national Northeastern Implant Symposium, where she lectured on contemporary sinus lift techniques and the evolving criteria for simultaneous implant placement.

Dr. Gramacy worked in the Office of Admissions and Outreach at UCSF and Columbia, gaining extensive, behind-the-scenes insight into the admissions process. Her responsibilities included processing applications for pre-doctoral and post-graduate programs, coordinating official interview days, and managing and leading the 100+ member Student Ambassador Program. These experiences provide her with a clear understanding of what admissions committees value in strong and competitive applicants. She has also served as an interviewer for the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine’s periodontics residency. 

As a counselor, Dr. Gramacy is known for her efficiency, clarity, and direct yet supportive coaching style. Throughout his years of intensive post-doctoral training, Dr. Sonnenberg demonstrated a commitment to excellence. He completed a General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital, where he honed his skills in providing comprehensive dental care to a diverse patient population. Following this, he pursued a Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Woodhull Medical Center, further specializing in the specialized dental needs of children. During his pediatric residency, Dr. Sonnenberg researched obstructive sleep apnea in the pediatric dental population, earning second place at Woodhull Medical Center’s research symposium for his contributions.

Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Sonnenberg strongly advocates for mentorship within the dental profession. He recognizes that each individual possesses a set of talents and strengths, and he is committed to helping aspiring dentists identify and capitalize on these attributes. As an admissions counselor, Dr. Sonnenberg excels at identifying and highlighting prospective dental students' unique qualities and strengths. Dr. Oyeledun holds a BS in bio-behavioral health from Pennsylvania State University. She graduated with a DDS from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She completed a general practice residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, now BronxCare. Dr. Oyeledun is also the founder and co-owner of Vive Dental Day Spa, a practice she operates with her sister, who is also a dentist.

She currently serves as the Chief Dental Director at Tug River Health Association, a federally qualified health center located in the highest health professional shortage area in the country. In this leadership role, she provides critical access to dental care in a severely underserved community.

A respected voice in the dental field, Dr. Oyeledun is a distinguished member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the National Dental Association. She is in the process of earning her Fellowship in the AGD, a distinction held by only 6% of practicing dentists. She is a certified Invisalign provider, a credentialed Oral Health Leadership and Education certificate-holder, and one of the few certified professionals for Oral Rapid HIV Testing and Counseling. Her advanced certifications also include conscious sedation through the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) and training in botulinum toxin and dermal filler injectables, areas she incorporates into her focus on cosmetic and facial aesthetics.

Dr. Oyeledun’s advising style is deeply rooted in connection-based mentorship, with a focus on helping students develop not just strong academic profiles, but compelling personal narratives. She believes success in dentistry and admissions alike hinges on forming valuable, authentic relationships with mentors, peers, and professional networks. At UCLA, Alex was a member of the Undergraduate Students Association Council. She was first a member of the Institutionalized Events Committee before becoming Director of Staff Development of the Office of the President. After college, she spent nearly four years working at Orthodontic Center LA. At Harvard, Alex was actively engaged in community work with children and served as the President of the school's chapter of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, amongst other organizations. 

Alex’s passion extends beyond dentistry into community engagement, mainly working with underserved populations. She has dedicated her postdoctoral career to becoming a National Health Service Corps Scholar, demonstrating her commitment to providing quality healthcare to those in need. 

One of Alex's greatest strengths is her broad range of experiences, which have equipped her with an ornate perspective on the dental profession. She honed her practical skills as a dental and surgical assistant in private and community clinics, gaining hands-on experience that further enriched her understanding of the dental field. The students Alex has coached have been accepted to Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Penn Dental Medicine, the NYU College of Dentistry, the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and UCLA School of Dentistry. 

Alex's dedication to students' success is evident in her personalized approach to counseling. Whether she provides additional resources, simplifies complex concepts, or offers encouragement and support, Alex is committed to giving every student the confidence they need to get into their dream program.

Dr. Holmes began her academic journey in Jamaica before relocating to Florida at age 18. She studied at Miami Dade College and later graduated from the University of Florida. A serendipitous conversation with a dental student sparked her interest in dentistry, leading her to pursue post-baccalaureate studies to prepare for dental school as a non-traditional student. Dr. Holmes has extensive work and leadership experience as a retail store manager and the lead orthodontic assistant at Beautiful Smiles in North Miami.

As Class President, Dr. Holmes demonstrated exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. She tirelessly represented and advocated for her classmates' needs while ensuring that academic and extracurricular opportunities were accessible to all. She was deeply committed to fostering a supportive, collaborative environment within her class, encouraging peer mentorship and teamwork as critical components of academic success and personal development.

In addition to this role, she was actively engaged in research focused on dental education. Dr. Holmes is passionate about exploring innovative teaching methods and educational strategies that will improve the learning experience for dental students. Her research aims to enhance curricula, optimize instructional techniques, and ultimately contribute to preparing future dental professionals who are clinically proficient and well-equipped to thrive in an ever-evolving healthcare landscape.

Dr. Holmes’ passion for dentistry and helping others is evident through her active involvement in community service, mainly focusing on improving access to dental care. Her transition to dentistry was driven by a desire to make a significant impact, and she has since dedicated herself to mentoring undergraduate students. Dr. Holmes takes great pleasure in breaking down the dental school application process, making it less intimidating for prospective students.

Dr. Holmes has also gained extensive hands-on experience in various facets of the dental field, having worked in dental assisting, management, and advising roles. In these positions, she developed a deep understanding of dental practice operations, patient care, and the complexities of running a successful practice. Her work in management has sharpened her problem-solving skills, while her experience in dental assisting has strengthened her clinical knowledge and ability to connect with others. A natural teacher and mentor, Dr. Holmes enjoys sharing her knowledge and helping others succeed through formal teaching roles. Dr. Jain’s professional journey reflects a strong commitment to service and accessibility. He has developed a versatile procedural skill set and emphasizes patient-centered care, which informs his guidance to aspiring dentists. His career includes work in private practices and government-funded clinics, serving suburban families, inner-city low-income communities, and patients in some of Chicago’s poorest and most affluent neighborhoods. He has practiced in both Illinois and Texas, gaining a uniquely diverse perspective on patient needs and practice styles. He prides himself on being attentive to the needs of individuals from all backgrounds, making him a highly versatile clinician.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Jain is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. Having served as an admissions student interviewer for the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, he understands what programs look for and how candidates can differentiate themselves during the application and interview process. Over the years, he has guided multiple students through both admissions preparation and early clinical development.

As an admissions coach, Dr. Jain is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. His mentoring philosophy is grounded in personalization and real-world practicality. He meets each candidate where they are, clarifies their goals, and builds an individualized plan to help them reach their target programs. Dr. Jain focuses on reducing the stress and uncertainty associated with the admissions journey by offering honest feedback, tailored preparation, and in-depth insights into the realities of the dental profession and admissions process. Driven by a commitment to service, clarity, and accessibility, Dr. Jain aims to make dentistry—and the path to becoming a dentist—more approachable for everyone.

At Rutgers, Dr. Garofalo graduated summa cum laude, earning Dean’s List Honors every semester and receiving the Scarlet Scholarship for all four years. He was also recognized with the Academic Excellence Award for ranking in the top 10% of his class. His interest in mentoring began early, serving as a student ambassador for undergraduate admissions, leading campus tours, working with prospective students, and training new ambassadors.

At the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Garofalo remained deeply involved in academics and student support. He served as a preclinical teaching assistant, supporting first- and second-year students through didactic tutoring and hands-on clinical feedback. As a student admissions representative, he presented to applicants on interview days, provided campus tours, and guided students exploring Columbia’s program. His commitment to the student community also included roles as a student representative on the Multi-Disciplinary Curriculum Committee with Columbia’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, as a member of the First-Year Student Orientation Committee, and as Fundraising Chair for Columbia’s American Student Dental Association Chapter.

Upon graduation, Dr. Garofalo received both the New York Academy of Dentistry Exemplary Professional Conduct and Ethics Award and the Student Affairs Award for Leadership and Service. He went on to complete a general practice residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he received the Exemplary Professional Practice Award and completed a clinical case report on medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). Earlier, during dental school, he also presented research at the Student Birnberg Research Symposium. Currently, Dr. Garofalo practices general dentistry at multiple private practice offices in Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Dr. Garofalo is known for being organized, patient, and supportive. His motivation for mentoring comes from a desire to give back. Having gone through the process himself, he understands how important, and often difficult, it is to find guidance that is both knowledgeable and relatable, especially when applying to dental school. He focuses on helping students recognize their unique strengths and present their stories authentically, particularly in interview preparation and personal statement writing.

After interviewing at nine dental schools and being accepted to all, Dr. Garofalo developed a deep appreciation for how impactful clear communication and preparation can be. His approachable nature, combined with his expertise and a genuine desire to support others, makes him a trusted partner for students working toward their professional goals.

Dr. DePalo’s higher education journey began at Boston College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude with a degree in biology. He served as the President of the Boston College Pre-Dental Society, through which he founded a local oral health education program. His engagement in service extended beyond the field of oral health and across campus. He was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society and the Order of the Cross and Crown, distinctions given to students demonstrating exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and records of service on campus. Upon graduating, Dr. DePalo was also awarded the Matthew R. Copithorne Scholarship, given to a Boston College senior exhibiting qualities of character, industry, and intelligence who plans to pursue graduate studies at Harvard or MIT.

During his undergraduate studies, Dr. DePalo was involved in various biopharmaceutical research projects with several biotechnology companies. He had several mentors and advisors who inspired him to make education an integral part of his career. To this day, these mentors continue to inspire his growth as an educator.

At the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. DePalo conducted research on oral graft-versus-host disease and was awarded multiple distinctions for his academic excellence and community involvement. Dr. DePalo’s honors include the ADEA/GlaxoSmithKline Preventive Dentistry Scholarship, the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation Dental Student Scholarship, and induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. He graduated cum laude from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine with Honors in research.

Following dental school, Dr. DePalo completed his residency in pediatric dentistry and earned an MS at the Ohio State University/Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where he was named Chief Resident. His Master’s thesis on silver diamine fluoride earned him the Sunstar Clinical Research Award, the Delta Dental Foundation Master’s Thesis Award, and the Sunstar/AAPD Post-Graduate Research Fellowship. He also received the Dr. Paul E. Boyle Award for excellence in oral pathology and the AAPD Predoctoral Student Award for promise in the field of pediatric dentistry. 

Dr. DePalo is deeply passionate about preparing the next generation of dental professionals. As a former resident advisor for undergraduates, DMD, MD, and PhD students, Dr. DePalo has vast experience as a mentor. He understands and respects the uniqueness of every applicant and takes pride in helping students make this the foundation of their application. 

Dr. DePalo’s consulting style is warm and welcoming, adapted to the needs of each applicant, and promotes the well-being of the student. He strives to make each interaction goal-oriented and informative, while ultimately helping applicants navigate the nuances of dental school admissions.

Before attending New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Chauhan graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a BS in psychology and molecular and cellular biology. Her undergraduate studies provided a strong foundation in the sciences and understanding of human behavior, both of which would later inform her approach to patient care and student mentorship.

Throughout her career, Dr. Chauhan has provided comprehensive dental care in private and community-based practices. Her clinical experience spans preventive, restorative, cosmetic, endodontic, periodontal, prosthodontic, and surgical dentistry. Working closely with patients, specialists, hygienists, assistants, and administrative teams has given her a strong understanding of the communication, clinical judgment, resilience, and collaboration required to succeed in dentistry.

As a dental admissions coach, Dr. Chauhan helps students strengthen their applications by evaluating their academic backgrounds, professional experiences, personal narratives, and goals. She provides detailed guidance on personal statements, supplemental essays, resumes, interviews, and overall application strategy. Her background in psychology, writing, and clinical care allows her to recognize the individual strengths within an application and the larger story those experiences communicate.

Dr. Chauhan's coaching style is collaborative, honest, and highly personalized. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, she takes the time to understand each student's background, concerns, and aspirations, providing clear, actionable feedback while creating a supportive environment where applicants feel comfortable discussing their challenges and asking questions. 

Dr. Chauhan is particularly skilled at helping applicants move beyond generic explanations of why they want to pursue dentistry and develop a more personal, specific, and cohesive narrative. She is passionate about coaching because she understands how valuable thoughtful mentorship can be during a demanding and often uncertain application process. Dr. Chauhan believes applicants are more than their grades, test scores, and activities lists, and she enjoys helping students recognize the value of their experiences and communicate them with confidence.

Amoolya attended the University of Houston on a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Scholarship and an Academic Excellence Scholarship. During college, she participated in multiple research projects in public health, behavioral science, and mindfulness, developing a strong foundation in patient-centered research and critical thinking. She later served as Head of the Clinical Research Team at ByteSense, where she led clinical research efforts involving patient recruitment, testing, and education for an innovative dental device. She also worked as a data analyst for Harris County Public Health, further strengthening her analytical and healthcare experience.

Education and mentorship have remained central to Amoolya's career. She has experience tutoring students in chemistry, organic chemistry, and the DAT. After navigating the admissions process herself, Amoolya realized that the strongest applications are rarely the ones with the highest stats—they are those that showcase character, growth, and leadership. She has mentored students through every stage of the application process, taking the time to understand who they are, what motivates them, and how to bring those qualities to life on paper and in interviews. Students she has coached have been accepted to dental schools at Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, the University of Texas, the University of Southern California, and others. 

As an admissions counselor, Amoolya believes that every student has a unique story, and her goal is to help uncover the common thread that ties their experiences together. She works with students to help them build an application that is thoughtful, cohesive, and memorable while making the application process less overwhelming. 

Before attending dental school, Dr. Yousefi attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he graduated with a degree in biology. He received numerous honors throughout his undergraduate education, including the Bruce McClain Eberhart Scholarship awarded by the UNC Greensboro Department of Biology. He was a member of the Lloyd International Honors College Disciplinary Honors Program and was inducted into the Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society.

Dr. Yousefi also received multiple awards in dental school, including the Hinman Student Research Symposium Award, two Grover C. Hunter Research Fellowships, and several scholarships from the Dental Foundation of North Carolina. Formerly a research assistant at the UNC School of Dentistry, Dr. Yousefi’s work has been published in Frontiers in Immunology and Experimental Gerontology. 

Dr. Yousefi has developed particular expertise in oral surgery and prosthodontics, including extractions, removable prosthodontics, and treatment planning. His experience in high-volume clinical environments has strengthened his diagnostic and procedural skills while reinforcing the importance of patient-centered care and attention to detail—qualities he encourages students to demonstrate throughout the admissions process.

As an admissions coach, Dr. Yousefi works closely with pre-dental students to help them build competitive, well-rounded applications. His mentorship focuses on strengthening application narratives, refining personal statements, and preparing students to communicate their motivations for pursuing dentistry in interviews. By combining personalized coaching with real-world clinical perspective, Dr. Yousefi helps applicants present compelling stories that highlight their readiness for dental school.

Prior to dental school, Dr. White earned a BS in health sciences from the University of Nevada, with a minor in business administration. His professional recognition includes the Charles Fain Pediatric Award, as well as his appointment to the Florida Board of Dentistry, where he’s currently serving as Board Chair and formerly served as Vice Chair. In addition to his teaching and leadership roles, Dr. White has owned and operated his private pediatric dental practice in Orlando since 2005. His extensive clinical experience allows him to provide realistic, informed guidance to students seeking to understand the professional expectations and opportunities within dentistry and pediatric specialty training.

As a counselor, Dr. White offers deep insight into dental school and pediatric residency admissions, shaped by his direct involvement in application review, interviewing, and decision-making across more than 500 applications. He is particularly skilled in helping applicants strengthen early candidacy development, refine their application strategy, and excel in high-stakes interviews. Dr. White is passionate about helping students articulate their motivations for dentistry, understand the nuances of the pediatric specialty, and build compelling, mission-driven applications grounded in authenticity and clarity.

At Hampton University, Dr. Wallace managed the National Science Foundation--funded NanoHU program, leading initiatives that expanded STEM access for underrepresented groups and helped develop the university’s first nanoscience program. As National President of the Student National Dental Association (SNDA) at Tufts, Dr. Wallace represented more than 1,300 dental students across the country and championed programs that strengthened community, confidence, and access. Naturally gravitating toward leadership, service, and teaching, Dr. Wallace took great care and responsibility in helping select the next generation of dental professionals as a member of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine admissions committee. 

Clinically, Dr. Wallace practices comprehensive general dentistry in Cincinnati, integrating advanced digital systems, including Overjet AI, CEREC, Dandy, and SureSmile, to deliver efficient, precise, and patient-centered care. His training also includes surgical exposure through the Implant Pathway Fellowship and experience with trauma and complex surgical cases at the UCLA–Harbor Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This combination of surgical foundation and digital fluency equips him to understand and explain the evolving landscape of modern dentistry.

Dr. Wallace’s coaching is shaped by extensive leadership, service, and student advocacy experience, allowing him to support candidates with clarity, authenticity, and strategy across every stage of the application process. 

Before pursuing dental school, Dr. Allen attended the University of Utah on an athletic and academic scholarship and pursued pre-dental studies. He then transferred to the University of Texas to complete pre-dental studies and was accepted to UT Health San Antonio. After completing his residency, he went on to practice general and hospital dentistry in San Antonio.

During his time practicing in San Antonio, Dr. Allen also had an adjunct faculty appointment at the dental school in San Antonio in the Department of Hospital Dentistry. After several years practicing in San Antonio, Dr. Allen returned to Salt Lake City and opened a dental practice. Currently, he serves as an assistant professor at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine. As an admissions committee member, he is a reviewer, interviewer, and decision-maker, having evaluated over 500 applications and interviewed more than 100 candidates. 

Dr. Allen is deeply involved in helping shape the next generation of dentists through his teaching, admissions leadership, and mentorship. He lectures nationally on practice management and long-term success strategies for new dental school graduates, and on the American Heart Association, Healthy Smiles Healthy Hearts initiative on blood pressure screening in dental practice settings, of which he also co-authored. Dr. Allen also owns and operates his own private dental practice.

Before attending Meharry Medical College, Dr. Chestleigh also earned a Master’s degree in education policy and leadership studies from the University of Iowa. He helped launch and implement the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) at the University of Iowa, where he facilitated meaningful connections between pre-dental students and dental school representatives to enhance students’ understanding of the admissions process. Currently, he serves as a general dentist at McGonigle Dental Associates.

Dr. Chestleigh’s professional experience as a practicing general dentist, combined with his background in admissions and educational leadership, enables him to provide tailored, realistic, and strategic guidance to aspiring dental professionals. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of dentists and helping them gain access to fulfilling careers in dentistry.

In addition to his orthodontic expertise, Dr. Donaldson brings a broad perspective on dentistry through his roles as Orthodontic Director at Dental Serenity and Senior Clinical Dental Consultant for Sun Life DentaQuest. In these positions, he develops treatment protocols, trains providers, and leads initiatives to improve consistency and quality in orthodontic care. He also served as an orthodontist in both civilian and military contexts, including service with the U.S. Army Reserve’s 7250th Medical Support Unit.

Dr. Donaldson is passionate about helping future dental professionals succeed. As a mentor, he has guided pre-dental and dental students through every stage of the admissions process, from crafting compelling personal statements to preparing for interviews and residency applications. Dr. Styles' journey in dentistry began as a periodontist’s assistant while she was still a student at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, studying kinesiology. Her leadership and initiative were evident when she founded the Students for Health and Well-Being Program. Dr. Styles was also recognized with four community service awards, including a university-wide honor that came with a scholarship. Her commitment to service continued in dental school, where she won three more community service awards, with her proudest moment being her recognition for founding the first University of the Pacific chapter of the American Association of Women Dentists. Today, her dedication to community service is evident in her work at her hometown clinic, where she provides free dental care to veterans and the community.

Dr. Styles' passion for pre-dental consulting was ignited at UOP, when she served as the American Student Dental Association Predental Officer. She played a pivotal role in creating the very first UOP Predental Day, an event that has now evolved into the prestigious Dugoni's Predental Bootcamp. Dr. Styles was instrumental in every step of the process, from speaking to the admissions committee for each section to personally accepting the first 100 students to the inaugural session. Dr. Styles also served as a student admissions ambassador at UOP, conducting one-on-one student interviews and providing feedback directly to the admissions committee. Dr. Styles also served as a tutor to her fellow dental students while at UOP, focusing on hand skills and restorative dentistry. Through her experiences at UOP, she found herself enjoying the admissions process, and she developed a passion for learning every aspect of the application cycle.

Dr. Styles currently works with her local university's mentorship program, which allows students to come and be trained as assistants, gaining valuable experience for their dental school applications. She has been committed to getting to know each student individually to help them find their unique voice and ensure their strengths shine. 

Dr. Styles has a tremendous amount of patience, and she takes pride in being friendly and approachable. She has worked with underrepresented students, reapplicants, gap year students, and students from all university grades to provide individualized timelines for building every aspect of the AADSAS application. Students whom she has coached have been accepted to and graduated from many schools across the nation— many of them are now practicing dentists with whom she remains friends today.

As a dentist, Dr. Dash has experience working in private practice, corporate, Medicaid-based, and emergency dental settings. A longtime member of Howard University College of Dentistry’s admissions committee, Dr. Dash has conducted numerous interviews and developed a keen understanding of what helps applicants stand out. For over a decade, she has mentored students at every stage, from high schoolers exploring dentistry to new graduates embarking on their professional journeys. 

Along her journey toward becoming a dentist, Dr. Dash was guided by several impactful mentors who inspired her to pay it forward by helping others achieve their dreams. She understands that the road to and through dental school is not easy, and she strives to be the kind of mentor she once needed. Amy graduated from Wellesley College with highest honors (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), earning a double major in German studies and chemistry. During her time at Wellesley College, Amy received multiple awards recognizing her academic excellence, including the Jean V. Crawford Prize in Chemistry, the Introductory Chemistry Award, and the Elizabeth Vogel Falk Prize in German. She was further honored with the Judith Adams ’75 Prize for Premedical Students for her outstanding performance in the pre-medical and pre-dental curriculum. At Wellesley, Amy served as a campus ambassador and tour guide for the Office of Admissions and as Vice President of the Pre-Dental Society.

Her honors include the ADEA GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Preventive Dentistry Scholarship, the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Community Service Award, and the National Health Service Corps Scholarship (HRSA).

Now, as the Dental Director at Wilmington Community Clinic in Wilmington, California, Dr. Truong provides comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, with a strong emphasis on whole-person care. Her clinical philosophy centers on the integration of oral and overall health, with a focus on disease prevention and patient education.

A passionate advocate for public health and community engagement, Dr. Truong participated in the Champion Provider Fellowship (UCSF), where she led an educational initiative to reduce the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) among pediatric patients in Wilmington. She further developed her leadership skills through the Managing to Leading program at Cedars-Sinai and was recently accepted into the National Oral Health Leadership Institute, a program led by the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA), to deepen her impact in community oral health and leadership.

Dr. Truong’s approach to counseling is informed by her time as a Harvard School of Dental Medicine admissions committee member,where she developed a keen understanding of what distinguishes exceptional applicants. Dr. Rabizadeh has contributed to orthodontic research at leading institutions, including UCSF, ASDOH, and California State University, Northridge, where he completed his undergraduate studies. His publications and projects focused on bone density in hyper- versus hypo-divergent patients, TMD symptoms, and carbohydrate-based experimental therapeutics. His work has been featured in the PCSO Bulletin, and he has been nominated for honors such as Invisalign Resident of the Year and JCO Resident of the Year. He has also lectured on oral health and cardiovascular disease for the nonprofit Mending Hearts and has been recognized with numerous commendations and awards for his academic and professional contributions.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Rabizadeh has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to service and leadership. He has served as an Executive Board Member of the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, a Special Needs in Dentistry Co-Founder and President at UCSF, and a volunteer for outreach programs ranging from Operation Smile in San Francisco to Great Shape 1000 Smiles in Jamaica. His dedication to underserved populations continues to shape his approach to dentistry and mentoring.

Dr. Anderson has earned multiple academic and clinical awards, including the UFCD Clinic 2A Excellence Award, the Academy of Osseointegration Implant Award, and the UFCD Gale Pride Scholarship. These honors underscore his commitment to clinical excellence and the advancement of dentistry.

While in dental school, she held leadership roles as a peer mentor and legislative liaison for the American Student Dental Association. Her dedication was recognized with honors, including the Horace Wells Trust Dental Scholarship, the Dean’s Recognition Award, and the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship.

Following graduation, Dr. Kapoor completed a general practice residency before embarking on a diverse career in private practice. She served as a clinical instructor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where she enjoyed teaching and mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. Beyond the classroom, she participated in global dental relief efforts in Guatemala and Kenya, providing care to underserved populations through international outreach programs.

Dr. Kelly’s achievements include graduating magna cum laude with a BS in bioenvironmental sciences from Texas A&M University and receiving the Ultradent Esthetic Dentistry Award for his work and passion in esthetic dentistry. His professional career spans private practice, corporate dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and community-based care, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the profession.

While in dental school, Dr. Kelly was a member of the pre-dental mentorship program, helping early college students prepare for applying to dental school. His experience as a mentor and interviewer has proven extremely valuable in helping students succeed with applying to dental schools. Dr. Kelly has firsthand experience working with admissions committees and has a wealth of knowledge on what schools are looking for in applicants.

In his current role, Dr. Kelly treats underserved and underrepresented populations of all ages in South Texas, with a special focus on preventative education. Before his time at the clinic, Dr. Kelly worked for a corporate dental practice/DSO, a private practice, and a pediatric dental office. He has seen almost every type of practice and landed on community dentistry as his passion.

As an admissions mentor, Dr. Kelly uses his type A organizational skills and clearly outlined goals to help his students excel. He knows that applying to dental school can be confusing and challenging for applicants. To help students apply with confidence, he uses a calm demeanor and time budgeting skills to make the process as smooth as possible. Dr. Kelly is adept at forming lasting connections with students, and his experience with the application and admissions process proves to be invaluable. He adapts to each student’s way of learning and communicating, making sure to be as available as needed.

Dr. Shah advocates for legislation to improve oral health care accessibility for all patients and breaks down barriers for underrepresented minorities who want to pursue dentistry. She mentored pre-dental students through the Bringing Smiles Dental Education Program at the NYU College of Dentistry. This program involved pre-dental students working with dental students to provide seamless dental care to children at a public school affiliated with a homeless shelter. 

During college, Dr. Shah received multiple awards, including the Delegate and Senatorial Scholarship, the Greater Baltimore Temple Scholarship, and scholarships from her middle school and community improvement association. She stayed involved on campus through Delta Epsilon Mu, the Student Health Advisory Committee, the Student Government Association Health & Wellness Committee, and other organizations. 

During her time at New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Shah served as a subject matter tutor for the underclassmen and served as an admissions ambassador for the dental school. Additionally, she served as the trustee for her district in the American Student Dental Association (ASDA). Since graduating from dental school, she has remained active on the local, state, and national levels of the American Dental Association (ADA). She was also awarded a Health Resources and Services Administration grant for her advanced certificate in public health.

Dr. Shah’s most prized role is serving as the Give Kids a Smile Chair (GKAS) for the state of Maryland. She reinvigorated the program years ago and executes dozens of events ranging from oral health education fairs to providing free dental care for children in Maryland. For Dr. Shah, the best part of serving as GKAS Chair has been getting to work with pre-dental and dental students and seeing them grow into excellent clinicians. She enjoys being a listening ear for pre-dental and dental students, providing advice and encouragement, and acting as a resource to connect pre-dental students to research, shadowing, and volunteer opportunities.

Dr. Shah’s strength as a mentor is her ability to pinpoint what makes the applicant “click” and focus on how to highlight this to admissions committees. Dr. Shah sees her sessions as flexible, goal-guided discussions. She loves to spend time helping students understand who they are as a whole person. This starts with guiding the student in practices of reflection and then applying these lessons from life experiences to become a better dentist. She also knows how to flip the script about deficiencies in an application and how to use them to the applicant’s advantage. 

Dr. Shah is well-versed in document review not only for admissions but also for dental malpractice claims, which she reviews remotely for a dental malpractice insurance company. Dr. Shah also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Community College of Baltimore County Dental Hygiene program. She deeply understands dental school admissions processes, what programs look for when developing their incoming class, and how programs attract the best students.

Dr. Shah is dedicated to being a lifelong learner and is committed to earning her fellowship and mastership through the Academy of General Dentistry. She has learned from some of the most brilliant minds in dentistry and taken over 500 hours of continuing education courses in just five years. She also plans on returning to school to finish the remaining credits for a Master’s degree in public health.

As a dentist, Dr. Shah is dedicated to educating patients on the importance of optimizing their oral health and preventing disease. She is also known for her gentle touch and for providing painless anesthesia. Currently, she is providing mobile dentistry services to the children in the Baltimore City school system. Dr. Shah is a proud Marylander and “Baltimoron,” and loves being able to use her skills to give back to her community, primarily to children whose families are on Medicaid.

In her free time, Dr. Shah enjoys hiking in national and state parks with her friends, spending time with her parents, reviewing diverse restaurants as a Yelp Elite, and travelling with her boyfriend, who is an anesthesiology resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is also an avid sports fan, rooting for the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Maryland Terrapins. 

As an admissions committee member at Midwestern University, Dr. Avezova reviewed hundreds of applications, interviewed prospective students, and facilitated admissions tours as a student ambassador. At UCLA, she advised pre-dental students and reviewed applications, giving her deep insight into what competitive dental schools seek in strong candidates. Throughout her career, she has combined clinical practice, academic research, and student mentorship to guide future generations of dentists. Today, Dr. Avezova practices in both private clinics and federally qualified health centers, with additional expertise in teledentistry, peer review, and consulting.

At UCLA, Dr. Avezova’s research in tumor immune surveillance, biomarker profiling of oral squamous cell carcinoma, and evidence-based dentistry led to multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, including Bioinformation and The Open Dentistry Journal. She was awarded the Van Trees Scholar distinction, and presented her work at the International Association of Dental Research (IADR), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the American Dental Education Association (ADEA). 

In dental school, she was awarded the Oral Biology Award by the American Association of Oral Biologists and completed a prestigious fellowship with the Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program, where she lectured on dental anatomy and further developed her teaching skills. Throughout her dental school experience, Dr. Avezova contributed to the local chapter of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) with leadership roles as a Legislative Liaison for the Executive Counsel, Editor-in-Chief for the electronic blog, and Publications Chair for the quarterly newsletter. Additionally, she volunteered her time with the Give Kids a Smile Program, where she provided comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients in the community.

Beyond academics, Dr. Avezova has held numerous leadership roles in organized dentistry. She was voted into several positions throughout the last decade, including Zone Director, CDA Delegate, Executive Board Vice President, and ultimately President/Chair of the Board. She has participated in or chaired several committees, including the New Dentist Committee, Membership Committee, Governance Task Force, and the Allied Dental Health Scholarship Review Committee. On a state level, Dr. Avezova has held several roles in the California Dental Association, including the Board Composition Workgroup, the Leadership Development Committee, the Leadership Discovery Program, and the House of Delegates. She is also a Dental Assistant Advisory Board member and Oral Health Representative for the San Gabriel Unified School District Wellness Council.

Along with her extensive expertise in the dental field, Dr. Avezova has experience in teledentistry, dental consulting, independent medical review, and peer review. Her contributions to the profession were recognized with induction into the International College of Dentists, an honor given to only 3% of dentists nationwide.

Dr. Avezova has always been passionate about student mentorship and guiding the next generation of dentists. She has hosted lectures for Health Occupations Students of America, advised students in the College-to-Career Program through the Riordan Scholars Program at UCLA, and mentored students through the Business Success Program at USC.

Motivated by faith and a desire to make her immigrant parents proud, Dr. Pascal completed her undergraduate studies at Oakwood University, where her participation in community outreach and mission trips ultimately led her on the path to becoming the first doctor in her family. 

Initially pursuing medicine, Dr. Pascal’s path shifted after volunteering at a free dental clinic, where she was drawn to the art, technology, and practicality of dentistry. Inspired by the emphasis on service and whole-person care, she attended LLUSD, where she was selected to have her four-year journey featured in a short video series to inspire future students. 

During dental school, Dr. Pascal served as an American Dental Education Society (ADEA) representative, joined the Curriculum and Spiritual & Wellness Committees, engaged in research, and participated in community service and free clinics locally and internationally. Her achievements include the Oral Health Foundation of the Pierre Fauchard Academy – Leadership Potential and Academic Excellence Award and first place in the California Dental Association Clinical Research Category. 

Dr. Pascal’s leadership and dedication have been recognized through awards such as the International College of Dentists Humanitarian Award, Loma Linda University Alumni Association Award, NASDAD Award, Clinic Award, and ADAF Colgate Student Research Recognition. She was also the recipient of a full-tuition scholarship during her dental studies.

After earning her DDS, Dr. Pascal served as an Assistant Professor at LLUSD, teaching pre-clinical laboratory courses to first-year students and co-leading a 4th-year clinical rotation in a community-based HIV/AIDS patient care program through the Ryan White Dental Partnership. These roles honed her communication, organization, and mentorship skills while deepening her passion for helping students master the art of dentistry and put whole-person care into practice.

Dr. Pascal has guided countless aspiring dentists through school presentations, community programs, and one-on-one mentoring. She takes a student-centered approach that starts with understanding each applicant’s story, goals, and motivations, then builds on that foundation with strategy and collaboration to achieve success. She helps students uncover and communicate their unique strengths, identify experiences that enhance their candidacy, and build the confidence and resilience needed to excel in interviews and beyond. Known for her warmth, sense of humor, and gentle but firm accountability, she excels at breaking complex processes into manageable steps and offering actionable feedback.

Before dental school, Dr. Claro attended California State University, Fullerton as an anthropology major before graduating with a BS in health sciences from University of California, San Francisco on a state scholarship and multiple community scholarships. While attending the UCLA School of Dentistry, Dr. Claro served as an admissions committee interviewer, where she was directly involved in the selection process.

After completing dental school, Dr. Claro practiced in the Central Valley of California at a rural health center before opening her private practice in Visalia, CA. It was during this formative time as a general dentist that she developed a keen interest in growth and development, which led her to return to school for specialty training. She holds a Master’s in oral biology and two specialty certificates from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a clinical and research emphasis on special needs care and craniofacial anomalies.

Dr. Claro practiced in Irvine, CA, as a dual specialist for 28 years and was very involved with the schools and community, as well as local universities, promoting dentistry as a profession as well as for health benefits. In addition, she was involved as a leader in the local, state, regional, and national dental and specialty organizations. She was a guest lecturer for UCLA’s graduate orthodontic program for many years and was the Co-Director for the interceptive orthodontic course given to the graduate pediatric dental students at University of Southern California for seven years.

As an admissions coach, Dr. Claro draws on her extensive experience serving on the admissions committees for both the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry and its graduate orthodontic residency program, as well as her earlier role as a student representative for UCSF’s dental school admissions committee. She has interviewed and evaluated hundreds of applicants, providing constructive and targeted guidance that helps candidates present their strongest applications.

Dr. Claro served as an associate professor and Clinic Director in the Graduate Department of Orthodontics at UTHSC, where she also taught growth and development to D1 students and co-directed elective orthodontic courses for high-achieving upperclassmen. Her research mentorship has guided numerous master’s theses, and her own work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentalfacial Orthopedics Clinical Companion and the Journal of Oral Biology and Craniofacial Research.

Dr. Claro has been invited to deliver lectures and presentations nationally for the American Association of Orthodontists, UCSF Dental Alumni, and pediatric dental associations. Her teaching excellence was recognized with multiple awards, including the Excellence in Teaching Award from UTHSC’s College of Dentistry.

Dr. Claro’s leadership extends beyond academia. She has served as the Southern Association of Orthodontists representative to the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation (AAOF) and contributed to the Planning and Research Committee (PARC), awarding significant funding to promising dental research. PARC was responsible for reviewing resident, faculty, and private research projects and awarding hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for the most promising projects. Dr. Claro has also given presentations for UCSF Dental Alumni, California and Western State Pediatric Dental Associations, UTHSC Orthodontic Alumni Day, AAOF, the Association of Orthodontists, and many community organizations. She has also maintained an active presence in local, state, and national dental organizations and has inspired countless students to pursue dentistry as a career. 

Teaching has always been a recurring theme throughout Dr. Claro’s college, dental school, and postgraduate training, and while in practice, both as a general practitioner and as a specialist. She retired from private specialty practice to become the Clinic Director and teach full time in the graduate department of orthodontics and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s College of Dentistry. 

Dr. Claro was actively involved in promoting and collaborating on many research projects encompassing in vivo to material and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) studies throughout her 8.5-year tenure at UTHSC. She has been noted as the inspiration by students for pursuing the specialty of orthodontics in many applications to the orthodontic residency. Her exams in this course reflected the nuanced test questions given in the new INBDE since she was on the test construction committee for this exam. She also gave courses and mentored fellow faculty on the new national board test question protocols.

Dr. Claro is passionate about the profession and future of dentistry, with the upcoming talent of the countless new students she has mentored. She says her broad experience in seeing all sides of dentistry informs her counseling approach from being mentored and becoming a mentor to becoming an admissions committee member and faculty member. Students Dr. Claro has mentored have been accepted to multiple dental schools, including Temple, UCLA, UCSF, BU, UTHSC, Midwestern, Western State, AT Stills, Baylor, Marquette, UPenn, UF, and many others. 

Through her work on multiple admissions committees, Dr. Claro has enjoyed the counseling she has offered to pre-dental and potential residency candidates, viewing her work as an extension of the counseling she offered while in private practice. Dr Claro has contributed to the success of countless entries into dental school and specialty programs.
