Dr. Diulus first served as an interviewer at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. After one year of interviewing students, she spent the next two years of her tenure as an application reader. Her insight into the admissions process, developed through hands-on experience evaluating personal statements, secondaries, and interviews, gives her a strong edge in helping students craft impactful, authentic applications.
Dr. Diulus has a strong academic and research background, with over 20 peer-reviewed publications in orthopedic surgery and radiology. Before medical school, she completed a clinical research internship at the American Hip Institute, contributing to high-impact orthopedic outcomes research. She was also a recipient of the National Institutes of Health T35 Grant for summer research and is a member of both the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and Alpha Sigma Nu. Dr. Diulus currently serves as a Content Acquisition Editor for the Journal of Medical Insight (JOMI).
As a coach, Dr. Diulus brings a strategic and highly personalized approach. She understands the unique challenges faced by first-time applicants, reapplicants, and non-traditional students. Students who work with Dr. Diulus appreciate her clarity, empathy, and ability to help them build a cohesive narrative that reflects their strengths and growth.
Dr. Diulus specializes in personal statement and secondary essay editing with an emphasis on authentic storytelling, strategic application planning, school list construction, and traditional and MMI interview preparation. She also excels at helping applicants frame their clinical, volunteer, and research experiences for maximum impact. Dr. Diulus’ favorite part of coaching is helping students find clarity and confidence in their unique path to medicine. She believes every applicant has a story worth telling—and she’s committed to helping them tell it well.
