Dr. Rachel Offenbacher, Med School Admissions Consultant at Inspira Advantage

Dr. Offenbacher attended a seven-year BS/MD program, completing her undergraduate studies at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CUNY School of Medicine and an MD at SUNY Downstate School of Medicine, where she also served as an admissions ambassador. She completed a pediatric residency and pursued a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore/Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where she served on her residency program’s Applicant Review Core Committee.

Dr. Offenbacher’s work has been recognized through multiple distinctions, including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Society, the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Young Investigator Award, the Pediatric Research Day Oral Presentation Award at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, and the Best Teaching Fellow Award. She also earned membership in the Leo M. Davidoff Society for excellence in teaching. Dr. Offenbacher’s professional experience spans clinical practice, academic medicine, and ongoing research activities. She has over 20+ publications and has had her work showcased in multiple prestigious journals, including Clinical Cancer Research, Pediatric Blood & Cancer, and the Journal of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. 

As a counselor, Dr. Offenbacher brings deep insight into both MD and residency candidate selection processes. With a decade of mentorship and admissions experience, she evaluated more than 200 applications and interviewed dozens of candidates. Students she has coached have been accepted to medical programs at top schools, including the University of Michigan, Rutgers University, SUNY Downstate, Baylor College, Columbia University, and others. Her approach emphasizes clarity, strategic storytelling, and helping each applicant present a cohesive, compelling narrative.
