Dr. Lobos earned a BS in biomedical sciences from the University of Central Florida, where he was recognized as a Knights of Distinction Scholar and PRIME STEM Scholar. During medical school, Dr. Lobos conducted research at Stanford University’s Cardiovascular Institute, exploring metabolic and adipose-related disorders. He also conducted research at Boston University, where he investigated gene regulation through advanced molecular biology techniques. His research contributions and national presentations strengthened his evidence-based approach to science and mentorship.
Passionate about mentorship and community service, Dr. Lobos founded a tutoring and mentorship program for underrepresented pre-medical students at the University of Central Florida. He also served as a Spanish-speaking provider at Freeman’s Clinic in Washington, D.C., delivering free care to uninsured and undocumented patients. His leadership and service embody his commitment to equity and excellence in medicine.
As a medical admissions counselor, Dr. Lobos leverages his firsthand understanding of the admissions process to help applicants craft compelling, authentic narratives. His coaching style is honest, personalized, and empowering. As a first-generation college student and former undocumented immigrant, Dr. Lobos’ path to medicine has been shaped by resilience, perseverance, and the transformative power of mentorship—values he now shares with every student he supports. He is deeply passionate about working with both underserved and traditional students, helping them navigate the complex path to medical school with confidence and authenticity.
