William L.

After William discovered his passion for medicine during his junior year, he maintained a strong science GPA while balancing the rigorous coursework of both his engineering and pre-med tracks. He has contributed to peer-reviewed research published in PLOS ONE and Nutrients, with work spanning corneal biomechanics and smell and taste impairments in head and neck cancer patients. William has also presented his research at the Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meeting, delivering an oral and a poster presentation on neuromodulator therapy and quality of life analysis in patients undergoing superior laryngeal nerve block.

William's years of experience as a teaching associate gave him extensive practice breaking down complex material for students with varying backgrounds and learning styles. His time instructing engineering courses honed his ability to approach problems from multiple perspectives, a skill he now brings to MCAT tutoring for aspiring physicians. Drawing on his experience as a student and educator, William works to understand each student's individual learning style, strengths, and goals and tailor his approach accordingly. He is passionate about helping aspiring physicians succeed and attributes much of his own success to the guidance and mentorship he received along the way. William understands how overwhelming the path to medical school can be and is excited to help students navigate the MCAT and take the next step toward their goals.
