Before attending Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Varun graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s in chemistry and a 4.0 GPA. During college, Varun served on the executive board of the Northeastern Chapter of the American Medical Student Association. Students he has tutored have increased their MCAT scores by an average of 7 points.

Before attending medical school, Varun gained valuable clinical experience as a patient care associate and assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. At Northeastern University, he conducted synthetic chemistry research in two drug-development laboratories, giving him a well-rounded foundation in both clinical medicine and scientific research. At Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Varun serves on several executive boards, including his roles as Co-President of the Internal Medicine Interest Group and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
