Undergrad: Temple University
Medical School: University of Virginia School of Medicine
Throughout her time at Temple University, Trisha built a strong foundation in clinical care and scientific research. She gained hands-on clinical experience as a medical assistant at Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center and conducted research in cancer genetics and metabolism at the Sbarro Health Research Organization through multiple competitive research fellowships, including the Frances Velay Fellowship, which supports women's leadership in the sciences. Her academic achievements earned her the Otto Kurschner Memorial Award for academic excellence, the Sol Feinstone Award, and the Temple University Provost's Merit Scholarship. Trisha also received an award from Temple's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders for her commitment to learning American Sign Language and advocating for the Deaf community.
Trisha's passion for teaching developed early in her undergraduate career. She began as a subject tutor at Temple University's Resnick Academic Support Center, working with student-athletes in one-on-one and group settings across a variety of STEM subjects. She went on to serve as an organic chemistry teaching assistant for two years and was later selected for the Diamond Peer Teacher program, a competitive university program that supports outstanding undergraduate educators in developing their pedagogical skills.
As a tutor, Trisha’s approach is centered around individualized support and adaptation. Balancing MCAT preparation with the many demands of being a competitive applicant is difficult, so Trisha’s approach focuses on creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking critically, and reflecting on what is working and what isn’t. With thoughtful guidance and consistent practice, she believes every student can maximize their potential and step into their exam with confidence.
