Sapan has logged hundreds of hours as an EMT, responding to 911 calls across New York City with Flushing Hospital Medical Center and ParaDocs Worldwide, gaining firsthand clinical experience in one of the country's most demanding healthcare environments. Before his EMT career, he served as a clinical research assistant at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he contributed to a quality improvement project in the Infectious Disease Clinic focused on outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy and presented findings at IDWeek in Boston. Sapan’s commitment to public health extends beyond the hospital—he has volunteered at a medical mission camp in rural Gujarat, India, delivering healthcare services and leading nutrition education for children. He has also served as a disaster responder with the American Red Cross and is currently a member of the Young Professionals Council of the South Asian Council for Social Services in Queens.
Sapan began tutoring shortly after taking the MCAT and achieving a 100th percentile score, and quickly developed a reputation for helping students achieve meaningful score improvements. His approach centers on teaching students how to think about the material, rather than just memorizing it. By drawing on his own experience navigating the MCAT while balancing an active academic and extracurricular schedule, he aims to ease his students’ stress levels while breaking down the process into manageable components.
As a tutor, Sapan meets each student where they are, customizes a plan around their schedule and learning style, and stays focused on measurable progress. He finds he consistently helps students the most with CARS thanks to his thorough coaching style on how to break down and analyze passages, but is confident in his ability to tutor students in all subjects of the MCAT.
