Ria’s clinical experience includes working as a medical scribe in the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Emergency Department, where she collaborated closely with physicians in a fast-paced clinical setting. She also worked as a clinical assistant and front desk manager at a chiropractic practice, developing strong communication skills and insight into patient-centered care. Additionally, Ria conducted molecular biology research at George Washington University, studying apoptotic pathways in Type II diabetes and contributing to oncology-focused clinical research.
Ria has spent years tutoring and mentoring students from elementary school through the college and pre-medical level in subjects including biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Her teaching style is rooted in Socratic questioning, an approach that focuses on guiding students through targeted questions rather than providing answers. By encouraging students to explain their reasoning and think critically through problems step-by-step, she helps them build deeper conceptual understanding, stronger problem-solving skills, and long-term confidence.
As a tutor, Ria’s approach is strategy-driven and tailored to each student’s needs. She works closely with students to identify weaknesses, improve test-taking strategies, and develop realistic study plans. She is passionate about helping students make what can feel like an overwhelming process more manageable, structured, and approachable.
