Undergrad: Vanderbilt University
Medical School: Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Pranoy's path to medicine has been shaped by a genuine fascination with research. During his time at Vanderbilt University, he worked in multiple labs, studying heart failure models in mice, contributing to clinical projects in diuretic therapy, and coordinating a multi-site nutrition study examining the impact of plant-based diets on athletic performance. That work was conducted in collaboration with researchers at Stanford University and several other universities. He is also a co-author on publications in Molecular Biology of the Cell, Hypertension, and the Nutrition Journal. His research involvement earned him the SyBBURE Searle Undergraduate Research Fellowship and the Crescere Aude Scholarship at Vanderbilt.
In the classroom, Pranoy has served as a learning assistant for courses in biology, biochemistry, and psychology at Vanderbilt, working with students in both group and one-on-one settings. That experience teaching foundational science courses gave him a deep understanding of where students tend to struggle, and how to meet them there. As an MCAT tutor, he focuses on helping students understand how they think through questions rather than relying on memorization or guesswork, thereby building the reasoning skills that lead to consistent improvement.
Pranoy understands the emotional and academic ups and downs of the MCAT journey and aims to serve not only as a tutor but also as a supportive presence throughout the exam preparation process. His goal is to pay it forward for the mentorship that shaped his own path and to help students navigate the MCAT with confidence.
