Nolan Lorenzana, Private MCAT Tutor at Inspira Advantage

Nolan graduated magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with a bachelor's in psychology and cognitive science. There, he pursued schizophrenia research, served as a teaching assistant for Psychotherapy and Personality Change, and was recognized on the Dean's High Honors List for several semesters. Nolan works as a clinical research and medical fellow at New England Retina Consultants, where he contributes to clinical research while gaining firsthand experience in patient care and ophthalmology.

As a teaching assistant for Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Psychological Sciences, Nolan particularly enjoyed breaking down the sometimes dense information with students and turning them into clear, approachable ideas. Nolan has a lifelong passion for teaching and mentorship, inspired by the dedicated mentors who supported him throughout his own academic journey. His desire is to pass that same support along to others and to see them reach their full potential. With long-time volunteering experiences in hospice care and crisis text lines, Nolan can connect with students not only on why they want to succeed on the MCAT but also as a future medical student and physician. He has seen firsthand the role a strong “why” can play in achieving any goal.

Nolan’s approach to tutoring centers on effective, deliberate studying and frequent practice anchored with a strong content foundation. He recognizes that each student has a unique schedule, learning style, and goals. Nolan works with students to craft a tailored study plan that works best for them. He is dedicated to helping students approach the MCAT with structure and purpose and to have them feeling in control and confident come test day.
