Nikhil’s breadth of academic and professional experience strengthens the guidance he provides. He worked as an Immunogenetics Technologist at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and balanced MCAT preparation alongside a full-time role as a medical assistant and part-time clinical research work. This perspective helps him coach students on how to manage demanding schedules while maintaining consistent progress. He has also volunteered for a roaming free clinic dedicated to serving the homeless population of Baltimore.
Nikhil discovered his passion for tutoring in college as a Probability and Statistics Learning Assistant, where he helped many students master challenging material and develop effective test-taking strategies. This experience solidified his passion for helping pre-meds build the skills and confidence to successfully tackle the MCAT. His path to medical school has given him exposure to a range of disciplines, from private equity to translational research. As a result, Nikhil is well-prepared to guide students on their unique MCAT journeys, considering their backgrounds and preparedness to deliver tailored instruction.
During his own MCAT preparation, Nikhil’s study philosophy was “work smarter, not harder.” He relied on strategy-based learning, including active recall, spaced repetition, and conceptualization, to achieve a top score. Nikhil provides individualized feedback that acknowledges and targets content and strategy weaknesses. He welcomes questions and feedback, ensuring that each session is a dialogue rather than a lecture. Although the MCAT is a daunting challenge, Nikhil gives his all to ensure every student has a streamlined study experience.
