Marie's background spans clinical, research, and academic settings. As a volunteer EMT, she gained firsthand experience in patient care and clinical documentation. She completed a summer research fellowship at Fordham University's Louis Calder Center in partnership with New York State's Medical Entomology Laboratory, where she conducted field and laboratory research on disease-vector populations. After graduation, Marie volunteered as a research assistant in the Biodefense Protection Technologies Laboratory at the United States Military Academy before joining the Army Educational Outreach Program as a research intern.
Growing up in a house full of younger siblings sparked Marie's love of explaining complex ideas in simple, approachable ways. That passion continued in college, where she tutored undergraduate biology students through Fordham's Higher Education Opportunity Program. During her own MCAT preparation, she realized that one of the biggest challenges students face is knowing where to begin. She believes that one of the biggest challenges with the MCAT is knowing where to begin. Once students have a clear study plan and understand how to use their resources effectively, the process becomes far more manageable. Marie's tutoring emphasizes building a strong conceptual foundation, developing effective test-taking strategies, and creating a personalized study plan to help students approach test day with confidence.
