Dr. Tresa Brazier, Med School Admissions Consultant at Inspira Advantage

Dr. Brazier earned her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After medical school, she served as a General Medical Officer and Captain in the U.S. Army before completing her training and practicing for a decade as an anesthesiologist. Dr. Brazier has over 25 years of experience across clinical medicine, leadership, patient safety, medical communication, coaching, and mentorship.

Before attending medical school, Dr. Brazier earned Bachelor of Arts with distinction in molecular biology from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she graduated with distinction, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and was also inducted into the Golden Key Honor Society. Dr. Brazier received a full undergraduate scholarship through Army ROTC. As a Battalion Commander, she received the Military Order of the World Wars Award of Merit, an additional ROTC leadership award, and was selected to attend the U.S. Army Airborne School at Fort Benning.

Dr. Brazier’s path into medicine was shaped by a deep interest in human potential, service, and the responsibility of caring for others in high-stakes environments. Her clinical work required calm judgment, clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. During medical school, Dr. Brazier conducted research on patient preferences regarding breast cancer follow-up care, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, patient-centered outcomes, literature review, and continuity of care. She presented this work at the Symposium on Patient Outcomes in Carmel, California.

Dr. Brazier later founded and managed her own anesthesia practice in the Seattle area, where she oversaw clinical operations, physician relationships, staffing, scheduling, documentation, and quality assurance. Dr. Brazier also mentored and taught firefighters, paramedics, and medical students in the operating room as both a resident and attending physician. These experiences required her to evaluate learners’ communication, maturity, situational awareness, clinical reasoning, professionalism, and readiness for patient-care environments.

In addition to her clinical background, Dr. Brazier has worked with physicians, professionals, and high-achieving individuals around identity, communication, leadership, career transition, decision-making, burnout recovery, and personal growth. She has completed ICF-accredited coaching training, trauma-informed coaching certification, somatic trauma-informed coaching training, narcissistic abuse recovery training, and HeartMath Resilient Heart Practitioner training. Her coaching background gives her a distinctive ability to support students not only with strategy and structure, but also with confidence, presence, emotional regulation, and authentic self-expression.

As an admissions counselor, Dr. Brazier brings a rare combination of physician-level insight, academic excellence, military leadership, clinical experience, and coaching skill. She is especially adept at helping students identify their deeper motivation for medicine, clarify the through-line of their story, and communicate their strengths in a way that feels polished, mature, and genuine. She believes that a strong application is not about trying to sound impressive—it’s about helping each student understand who they are, what they have lived and learned, and how to present that truth with clarity, professionalism, and confidence.

Dr. Brazier’s approach is warm, thoughtful, strategic, and individualized. She helps students break down a complex admissions process into clear next steps while also supporting the inner qualities that matter in medicine: judgment, integrity, resilience, empathy, service, and self-awareness. She enjoys working with students who are thoughtful, motivated, and willing to reflect deeply on their experiences so they can become stronger applicants and, ultimately, more grounded future physicians.
