Dr. Nicholas Battaglia, Med School Admissions Consultant at Inspira Advantage

Dr. Battaglia is a family medicine physician and admissions coach who currently works in urgent care at Centra Health. He earned a DO from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed Centra Health’s Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency Program. In addition to his clinical work, he has participated in residency admissions through applicant interviews and the ranking process, giving him direct insight into how programs evaluate candidates.

Before attending Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Battaglia earned a Bachelor’s in biological sciences from Drexel University. During medical school, Dr. Battaglia served as a Student Champion, guiding prospective students through the admissions experience and sharing insight into life as an osteopathic medical student. After residency, he continued to build on that interest in teaching as a part-time faculty member at Centra Health’s Lynchburg Family Residency Program for two years.

As a counselor, Dr. Battaglia supports students applying to MD and DO programs as well as residency applicants. He brings a practical, physician-level perspective to application strategy, interview preparation, and overall candidacy development. His background in medical education and graduate medical training enables him to guide students through each stage of the process with clarity and confidence.
