Throughout her undergraduate and graduate training, Dr. Pierre consistently served as a teaching assistant, tutor, and peer mentor, supporting incoming students in navigating rigorous academic environments. Throughout her academic training, Dr. Pierre has been recognized with the President's Ambassador Service Award and the Outstanding Presentation Award at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS). At AUC, she distinguished herself as a Dean's List student and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Phi Honor and Service Society.
Dr. Pierre completed her pediatric residency at Maimonides Infants and Children's Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and has since built a career in urgent care pediatrics. She received the Top Presentation Award at the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care Conference. Today, Dr. Pierre works as a pediatrician, health coach, and mentor with a passion for guiding aspiring physicians through the complex journey to medical school and beyond. As an admissions mentor and ambassador through the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Dr. Pierre regularly participates in pre-medical interest meetings, advises prospective applicants, and provides guidance on application strategy and interview preparation. Additionally, she coaches medical students through clinical rotations and the residency application process, helping them refine their clinical confidence and professional identity.
What sets Dr. Pierre apart as an admissions counselor is her ability to uncover the often-overlooked strengths within each applicant. She believes that the most compelling applications are not built on perfection but on authenticity and clarity of purpose. Her coaching style is strategic and deeply personal, as she works closely with each student to craft a narrative that reflects who they are, not just what they have achieved. From personal statements to interview preparation, she equips her students with the tools to stand out in an evolving admissions landscape. Ultimately, Dr. Pierre believes that the hardest part of getting into medical school and matching into a residency is not the application process—it's believing in yourself.
