Dr. Bianchi’s academic journey began at UC Davis, where she graduated magna cum laude with a BS in animal science and Italian Literature. During her undergraduate years, Dr. Bianchi demonstrated a strong commitment to research and community service. She was involved in two research labs, working on correlating CRISPR knockout mouse model phenotypes to human-associated diseases and studying how certain feed additives can mitigate greenhouse gases produced by dairy cattle. Her research efforts culminated in a presentation at an undergraduate research conference and the completion of a manuscript. She was also recognized with the Undergraduate Research Scholar Award and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society.

During this time, Dr. Bianchi's passion for veterinary medicine extended beyond the classroom. She was heavily involved with a student-run veterinary clinic providing free services for the pets of unhoused individuals and co-founded a club to collect and donate veterinary medical supplies to underprivileged clinics abroad. Her hands-on experience includes working as a technician at a specialty hospital and gaining exposure to wildlife veterinary care during a summer internship in Australia. She also served as a tutor in the Italian and French Department, a peer mentor in animal sciences, and received the President's Volunteer Gold Service Award.

In vet school, Dr. Bianchi also served as President of the Mercer Veterinary Clinic for Pets of the Homeless and Vice President for the Student American Veterinary Medicine Association at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She spent a summer conducting orthopedic research on a specific breed of dog that suffers from chondrodystrophy. She was also the recipient of the Students Training in Advanced Research (STAR) Award, allowing her to receive grants to conduct her own research project. She worked as a researcher in the J.D. Wheat Orthopedic Laboratory during her veterinary school career, bridging the gap between how genetics contributes to specific orthopedic and neurologic diseases in chondrodystrophic dogs.

Dr. Bianchi's academic achievements and contributions to the field have been recognized through various honors. She was awarded the Outstanding AJVR Student Manuscript Award by the American Veterinary Medical Association, demonstrating her exceptional research and writing skills. She has published research in the American Journal of Veterinary Research.

Dr. Bianchi’s passion for counseling pre-veterinary students stems from the support she has received from great mentors throughout her life. She recognizes the value of having a supportive mentor on this challenging journey, and she is dedicated to providing that same level of support to students. She takes a personalized approach, providing students with dedicated attention and crafting unique, specific plans to maximize their success. Students Dr. Bianchi has coached have been accepted to top vet schools at UC Davis, Cornell University, Colorado State University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Florida, and many others. 

Dr. Bianchi's greatest strengths as a consultant lie in her extensive experience and ability to quickly identify a student’s strengths and weaknesses. In her mentoring role, she excels at helping applicants craft narratives that highlight their individual experiences and create cohesive stories. Each counseling session with Dr. Bianchi is goal-oriented, yet flexible to accommodate the unexpected. She lets students drive sessions by identifying what they want to focus on, ensuring they are equipped with the resources and plans needed to answer their questions. Dr. Bianchi is passionate about helping the incoming generation of veterinary doctors and is eager to share her knowledge and insights. 

Dr. Molk has strived to practice compassionate, conscientious medicine during her career and has always sought opportunities to mentor fellow and prospective veterinarians. Dr. Molk has been the chair of several committees that promote continuing veterinary education, including the abstract review committee for the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) and the exam committee for the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM), which designs the annual credentialing examination for veterinarians seeking ACLAM Diplomate status. 

Dr. Molk’s committee work led her to start the Massachusetts General Hospital Laboratory Animal Medicine and Management Residency Program. Starting and overseeing a veterinary residency program has exposed Dr. Molk to the many facets involved in student recruitment, program applications, and candidate selection. She reviewed many veterinary internship & residency matching program (VIRMP) submissions and conducted numerous candidate interviews. These experiences helped her learn what makes a candidate stand out among the masses and the small details that can make a lasting impact on a reviewer. 

Once Dr. Molk identified veterinary medicine as her calling, she focused on what it would take to get into veterinary school—gaining hands-on experience in many different settings, understanding the academic requirements, and building relationships with individuals who would submit references on her behalf. Gaining admission to veterinary school was one of the biggest accomplishments for Dr. Molk, despite the intimidating application process.

As the former Assistant Director of Veterinary and Researcher Education at the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Comparative Medicine, Dr. Molk has helped many veterinarians begin, build, and steer their careers. She does this by working with individuals to set reasonable expectations, break down complicated application processes into small, tangible to-dos, and set a feasible schedule. As a veterinary school admissions coach, she strives to make an intimidating process, such as veterinary school admissions, feel attainable. Dr. Molk looks forward to guiding the next generation of veterinarians on the start of their new, exciting journeys. 

At Trinity University, Dr. Nielson was recognized with the Presidential Leadership Award. She also served as a student admissions ambassador and member of the faculty hiring committee at Trinity. During vet school, she was awarded an NIH T35 grant through the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Scientist Research Training Program. Her work involved investigating the role of the equine fecal microbiome in inflammation, and earned presentations at the National Veterinary Scholars Symposium and the ACVIM Research Forum, culminating in a peer-reviewed publication in the American Journal of Veterinary Research. Dr. Nielson’s academic achievements include multiple scholarships, such as the Judy Calder Foundation and Gene and Nancy Carter Scholarships at Texas A&M, as well as recognition as valedictorian of her Master’s program at Rice University.

In addition to her clinical and research accomplishments, Dr. Nielson has a strong background in science communication. She has worked with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, collaborating with organizations such as Apple, National Geographic, and PBS NOVA to make scientific knowledge accessible to the public.

Dr. Nielson currently practices outside Denver, CO, where she provides comprehensive medical services including general and emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and preventive care. She has particular interests in oncology, internal medicine, and geriatric care. Her approach emphasizes compassionate communication with clients and individualized treatment for each patient.

As an admissions coach, Dr. Nielson draws on her diverse background in veterinary medicine, research, and communications to guide students in crafting authentic and compelling applications. She is particularly skilled at helping applicants highlight their unique strengths and articulate cohesive personal narratives. Her approachable and supportive style creates a collaborative environment where students feel empowered to succeed.

Dr. Nielson is passionate about mentoring future veterinary professionals, drawing on her own non-linear path to veterinary medicine to empower students with clarity, confidence, and direction in their journeys.

A native Washingtonian and born in Washington, D.C., Dr. Burris was raised in Montgomery County, MD. He graduated from Georgetown Preparatory School, where he was Co-President of the Black Student Association and was inducted into the United States Spanish National Honor Society. He was also nominated to be an exchange student, studying abroad in Zaragoza, Spain. 

During his undergraduate career, Dr. Burris served as the Vice-President of the Tufts Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS). Throughout his time in vet school, Dr. Burris was a member of the student government as a Diversity Committee Representative and completed a business minor in health sciences at the Ohio State Fisher College of Business. After graduation, Dr. Burris matched into a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Tufts Veterinary Emergency and Treatment Specialties Hospital. 

As a child, Dr. Burris grew up with many pets, including two dogs, four rabbits, 10 gerbils, an iguana, a newt, a ferret, several fish, and 15 ducks. Dr. Burris has always had a passion for both medicine and animals; though he never saw a veterinarian who looked like him growing up, so he was hesitant at first to apply to veterinary medical school. He has since had two articles published in Veterinary Professionals’ Next Gen detailing his experience as a vet student and anti-racism in veterinary medicine. 

Today, Dr. Burris works as an adjunct professor and instructor at American University, where he teaches multiple courses surrounding auscultation/cardiology, injections, microscopy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, suturing, dissection, and other veterinary medicine skills. He also works as a faculty professor with Loop Abroad and as an instructor and veterinarian at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute. Dr. Burris’ professional interests include public health/preventive medicine, regulatory medicine, shelter medicine, primary care and urgent care, the human-animal bond, ophthalmology, dermatology, cardiology, general dentistry, and surgery. 

As a counselor, Dr. Burris brings over seven years of mentorship experience, guiding aspiring veterinary students through application strategy, interview preparation, and scholarship planning. He is passionate about supporting applicants from all backgrounds to help them build confidence and maximize their chances of vet school success.

Dr. Kim is a board-certified veterinarian, scientist, and educator with over a decade of experience spanning clinical medicine, veterinary public health, and higher education. He holds a BS in animal biology from the University of California, Davis, an MPH in veterinary public health, and a DVM from Ohio State University. He completed his comparative medicine residency at Colorado State University, one of the most respected programs in the field.

Dr. Kim is currently a clinical veterinarian and assistant professor at the University of Louisville, where he practices mixed animal and exotic animal medicine, treating patients ranging from dogs and cats to rabbits, ferrets, rodents, birds, and farm animals. Dr. Kim is also a scientist who has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications in areas including analgesia, antimicrobial resistance, and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). His research has appeared in leading journals.

Known for his approachable mentorship style and meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Kim works with students to build compelling applications that reflect their individuality, passion for animal health, and long-term goals. His mentorship has helped students gain admission to leading DVM programs, including UC Davis, Cornell, Ohio State, Colorado State, Auburn, Tuskegee, and LSU, among others. Students Dr. Kim has mentored have credited their success to his support, particularly with personal statement development and interview preparation.

As a first-generation college graduate and a champion of diversity in veterinary medicine, Dr. Kim is dedicated to providing the guidance, encouragement, and tools necessary for students to thrive in their pursuit of a DVM degree. He is excited to partner with pre-veterinary students on their journey to becoming compassionate and competent veterinary professionals, equipping them with the confidence and skills to succeed in this rewarding field.

Dr. Pires' graduated from CUNY Hunter College with degrees in studio art and biochemistry. Through these studies, she discovered her passion for pre-veterinary medicine, which was further fueled by her experiences in research, lab animal care, and small animal general practice. These accomplishments earned her the NIH MBRS-RISE Program Scholarship and several departmental research awards. They also sparked her enthusiasm for advancing biomedical research to benefit both human and animal health, as well as advocating for the well-being of animals that are vital for medical progress.

Dr. Pires enrolled in a combined DVM and PhD program at Colorado State University. Her PhD focused on cell and molecular biology with an emphasis on cancer research. Dr. Pires graduated from veterinary school, receiving the Bob Rosenthal Senior Student Award for her outstanding contributions to clinical oncology. She also received multiple Young Investigator Awards and conference travel awards while completing her PhD training. Her dual DVM/PhD training has equipped her with a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of human and animal health, as well as the critical role that veterinarians play in advancing biomedical research.

After completing her veterinary education, Dr. Pires completed a one-year  University of Colorado Anschutz Faculty Fellowship in Lab Animal Medicine, further honing her skills and expertise in this specialized field. Currently, she works as a lab animal veterinarian in the pharmaceutical industry, where she applies her knowledge to ensure the welfare of animals involved in research while contributing to the development of life-saving treatments.

Dr. Pires’ approach to veterinary medicine is characterized by her drive for continuous learning, commitment to teaching, and ability to find fulfillment in her work. She is passionate about helping students navigate the complex admissions process and has a proven track record of guiding them toward achieving their goals. Her experience serving on Colorado State University’s admissions committee for five years gives her insider information into the qualities and characteristics that successful veterinary school applicants possess. Students Dr. Pires has coached have been accepted to vet schools and DVM/PhD programs at UC Davis, the University of Colorado, Colorado State University, and the University of Wisconsin.

One of Dr. Pires’ greatest strengths is her approachability and flexibility. Given her years of scientific publication and presentation experience, she also has a knack for writing and accuracy. As a first-generation college graduate and native New Yorker of mixed Hispanic and European heritage, Dr. Pires brings a deep understanding of the challenges that students from diverse backgrounds may face when pursuing higher education. She is committed to working with students of all backgrounds, providing them with the guidance, support, and resources they need to succeed in their journey to veterinary school and beyond.

Dr. Aaronson attended the University of Tulsa on merit and grade-based scholarships, completing a BS in biology with minors in chemistry and creative writing. Dr. Aaronson was committed to getting involved on campus, serving as President and Vice President of various clubs, a University Ambassador, and Executive Director of Springfest. She graduated with honors and successfully defended her research project on elder abuse in America.

Dr. Aaronson then took two gap years to further her research on elder abuse, culminating in a TEDx talk that was published on the official TED website and cited in college courses. She worked full-time, first as a recruiter specifically for veterinarians and then as an executive assistant in a veterinary corporation, working closely with the Chief People Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. During this time, Dr. Aaronson gained extensive experience in employment contracts, recruiting, and corporate veterinary medicine.

Dr. Aaronson was accepted to Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine with a scholarship. She served as Secretary of the Pathology Club, Vice President of the Behavior Club, and as both an Accreditation Ambassador and University Ambassador. She also completed the Purdue DEI certification for vet students. Additionally, Dr. Aaronson works as a business analyst for the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship. She has been a team lead for several projects and was recently promoted to Managing Project Advisor. In this role, she trains new hires and manages the training schedule/material for continuing employees.

Previous employers have often hailed Dr. Aaronson as a highly organized, efficient, and dedicated worker. Her task list creations and workflow timelines have been adopted company-wide. This strong attention to detail, coordination, and planning is a valuable asset to students, helping to reduce the intimidation and overwhelming nature of vet school applications.

Dr. Aaronson describes herself as a highly empathetic, understanding, and patient coach with a long history of mentorship. Her diverse experiences and achievements allow her to see beyond the traditional applicant and pinpoint unique characteristics that help them stand out in the application process. 

Dr. Aaronson’s background in creative writing puts her in the perfect position to brainstorm and flesh out fresh ideas with students. This was reflected in her vet school applications, where she achieved a perfect score on the GRE’s Analytical Writing section and the highest quartile on Casper. Dr. Aaronson is excited for the opportunity to usher in the next generation of vet students.

A native of Springfield, Illinois, Dr. Young pursued her BS at Iowa State University, where she studied pre-veterinary animal science and enjoyed undergraduate student research. Dr. Young also completed a research internship at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she studied microbiology and discovered her interest in a career in veterinary public health. During vet school, she returned to Harvard as a population research and data analytics intern for nearly two years. 

While at Iowa State’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Young completed an MPH through the University of Iowa and was employed by the Center for Food Security and Public Health. Her high academic achievement was recognized with the Excellence in Veterinary Medicine Award, which she received for all four years of vet school. 

Dr. Young held multiple leadership positions within the college, including President of the Iowa State Chapter of the Student American Veterinary Medicine Association (SAVMA) and Student Senator for Iowa State University’s Student Government. Dr. Young’s clinical experience was diversified with externships in comparative and lab animal medicine at Stanford University, Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York University, and the Salk Institute.

Outside of her research interests, Dr. Young is heavily involved in organized veterinary medicine. She enjoys advocating for the veterinary profession, both locally and nationally. Dr. Young was once invited to the AVMA “fly-in” in Washington, DC, where she met with congress members to discuss legislation pertinent to the veterinary profession. She has continued this work locally as an AVMA ambassador. 

Dr. Young pursued a PhD at the University of California, San Diego, studying the evolution of host-pathogen interactions with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Through her PhD program, Dr. Young aspires to bridge animal and human health by studying zoonotic diseases, ultimately improving global health and bolstering pandemic preparedness. By investigating innate antiviral responses, she hopes to identify the immunological mechanisms that allow animals to evade virulent viruses.

Dr. Young has exemplified her dedication to mentorship throughout her educational career. Acting as a coach, teaching assistant, and mentor, she has successfully guided students through and beyond the path to veterinary school. In her free time, she volunteers as a virtual science educator, leveraging her expertise to spark scientific curiosity among students of diverse backgrounds and ages.

Dr. Young has created an expansive network through her diverse experiences and leadership in veterinary medicine and is excited by the opportunity to empower aspiring students to achieve their dream of becoming veterinarians. Dr. Young is passionate about making the veterinary school application process manageable, transparent, and accessible for all. 

Dr. Poulsen has held key academic and leadership roles, including assistant professor at Oregon State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and associate clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work at WVDL centers on infectious disease diagnostics and international trade testing for cattle and bovine germplasm.

He is deeply involved in the broader veterinary community as the former President of the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD), and is the Co-Chair of the AAVLD government relations committee. He is also the Chair of the Board of Directors for the International Council of Veterinary Assessment (ICVA), which oversees the North American Veterinary Licensure Examination (NAVLE), and is Wisconsin’s delegate to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) House of Delegates.

Dr. Poulsen has reviewed hundreds of applications while serving on admissions committees at the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. He has mentored many students who have gone on to attend leading veterinary schools such as Cornell, Purdue, Iowa State, NC State, Michigan State, Oregon State, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Poulsen’s approach to admissions consulting is structured yet flexible, ensuring students can follow step-by-step processes while allowing for flexibility. 

Dr. Poulsen’s research on zoonotic and infectious diseases is widely recognized and has been featured in Scientific American, Vanity Fair, NPR, CBS 60 Minutes, the Associated Press, and The New York Times. Dr. Poulsen is actively engaged in service-related projects across the United States, South America, Asia, and Africa, focusing on infectious and zoonotic diseases as well as export market development.

Aditi’s clinical experience as a veterinary assistant at the Animal Medical Clinic in Bristol, England, and volunteer work at an access-to-care clinic on weekends reflect her understanding of the broader social aspects of veterinary medicine. At Banfield Pet Hospital, she sharpened her technical and client communication skills. Volunteering at nonprofit clinics for low-income and unhoused clients inspired a deeper understanding of the barriers to care. This experience inspired Aditi to improve her Spanish fluency and led to a transformative externship at a low-cost clinic in Nicaragua. These experiences helped her develop a global perspective on veterinary medicine and fueled a commitment to helping underserved communities.

Through years of academic and professional experience, Aditi has developed a personalized and empathetic approach to coaching. Drawing on a deep understanding of the veterinary field and personal experiences navigating the demands of higher education, Aditi is skilled at helping applicants craft authentic and compelling narratives. Whether guiding someone to articulate their strengths or overcome imposter syndrome, she focuses on building confidence and showcases what makes each individual unique. Aditi believes mentorship is not just about guiding someone toward their goals—it’s about empowering them to own their story and take pride in their journey.

Sarah Kate brings a diverse background in animal and veterinary experience, ranging from marine mammals to Florida wildlife rehabilitation. Her openness to exploration has enabled her to gain hands-on experience with many species and sectors, and she has a particular interest in small-animal medicine and exotic emergency medicine. She currently serves as the Raptor Team Coordinator for Auburn's Zoo, Exotics, and Wildlife Club, acting as a liaison and volunteer coordinator between student members and the Raptor Center at Auburn University. Before veterinary school, she worked as a kennel technician and technician assistant at Tampa Veterinary Hospital.

Sarah Kate’s academic foundation in communication has been a strong asset throughout her educational journey, supporting her leadership roles, organizational skills, and writing excellence. She has been recognized for her academic performance with the Patricia Pat Endowed Scholarship for academic excellence at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. 

As a coach, Sarah Kate emphasizes clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and encouragement, empowering applicants to submit authentic and standout application packets. She is passionate about identifying each student's unique strengths and helping them tell their story with confidence, honesty, and clarity. She also understands the value of non-traditional undergraduate paths and the unique perspectives they bring to veterinary medicine. Having lacked formal pre-veterinary advising as an undergraduate, she is especially motivated to support students navigating the process without structured guidance.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Merkatoris sought broad exposure to the veterinary field, gaining experience in wildlife medicine, research, small animal practice, and specialty practice, with particular emphasis on large animal surgery. His research experience, including work in swine nutrition and presenting at an international conference, further strengthened his academic foundation. Shadowing a large animal surgeon proved pivotal in his decision to pursue surgical specialization. Before attending the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Merkatoris developed a deep-rooted interest in animal health through extensive involvement in animal agriculture and performance animals. Raising and showing livestock in 4-H, competing nationally with registered Quarter Horses, and training AKC-registered Labrador Retrievers helped shape his foundation in animal husbandry and sparked his early interest in veterinary medicine.

Throughout veterinary school, Dr. Merkatoris remained active in research focused on the treatment and prevention of lameness in cattle, an area that continues to be a major professional interest. He has been published in numerous journals, including the Journal of Animal Science, Frontiers in Veterinary Science, Veterinary Surgery, the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and others.

Dr. Merkatoris’clinical skills have led to unique opportunities, including medical and surgical work with zoo species such as giraffes, bison, and rhinoceroses. Following veterinary school, he completed a private practice large animal internship prior to returning to Iowa State University for his surgical residency, where he gained extensive experience with horses, cattle, sheep, goats, alpacas, and swine.

Across years in academic practice, Dr. Merkatoris has developed a strong passion for teaching and mentorship. He works closely with learners at all stages, from high school and undergraduate students to veterinary students, interns, residents, and recent graduates, helping them develop clinical reasoning, surgical technique, and professional confidence. Dr. Merkatoris remembers the veterinary school application process as both exciting and uncertain, and as a counselor, he is committed to helping applicants navigate the process with clarity. He believes that personal connection is essential to identifying a student’s strengths and crafting an application that is authentic, compelling, and reflective of their goals.

After three years in full-time general practice, Dr. McDowell transitioned to relief veterinary work to foster continued growth, expand her clinical network, and achieve greater work-life flexibility. Working across multiple clinics has allowed her to collaborate with a wide range of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, strengthening her clinical breadth and adaptability. Dr. McDowell currently works at a veterinary clinic that has been honored in the Grand Rapids Best of the West Awards for Veterinary Clinics. Her professional interests include minimizing patient anxiety in clinical settings, advancing preventive care, and supporting families through hospice and end-of-life decision-making.

As a veterinary admissions counselor, Dr. McDowell is committed to helping applicants discover their unique path, refine their application materials, and “keep the faith” even after setbacks such as a prior rejection. She excels at helping future veterinarians strengthen their candidacy, broaden their clinical exposure, and maintain confidence throughout the demanding application journey. She is especially dedicated to guiding students through challenges and empowering them to highlight their strengths and potential as applicants. Dr. McDowell looks forward to supporting aspiring veterinarians from all backgrounds and helping them enter the field as exceptional future colleagues.

Following graduation from Cornell, Dr. Lyboldt started an emergency service at a small animal specialty referral practice and practiced emergency medicine and surgery for 12 years. During that time, she also worked at a small animal/mixed animal general practice. Currently Dr. Lyboldt works primarily with first- and second-year veterinary students, teaching a problem-based learning course that integrates pathophysiology, pharmacology, anatomic pathology, and clinical pathology. She also helps with veterinary school admissions and has a decade of experience working with high school students enrolled in her small animal veterinary summer college course.

Dr. Lyboldt has been driven by her consistent curiosity and desire to grow and learn so she can better help others. At the beginning of her career, she was motivated by helping families and their animals, and she developed a strong interest in helping develop the new generation of veterinarians. Dr. Lyboldt has worked closely with specialists in various fields, including but not limited to small animal soft tissue surgery, small animal orthopedic surgery, radiology, ophthalmology, oncology, internal medicine, and cardiology.

Throughout her career, Dr. Lyboldt has gained extensive experience in various settings, including large emergency specialty practices, small animal practices, mixed animal practices, and now as an educator at the Cornell University Veterinary College. In addition to her role as an associate professor of practice, Dr. Lyboldt has worked as a course leader for Foundation Course IIIa: Function and Dysfunction, Foundation Course IIIb: Function and Dysfunction, and Veterinary Medicine: Science and Practice. She was also recently awarded the Faculty Teaching Award, Department of Biomedical Sciences

Dr. Lyboldt’s extensive experience working with and mentoring high school students and veterinary students and her experience with the veterinary admissions process make her a knowledgeable asset. Before attending veterinary school, Dr. Reilly earned a BS in biological sciences from Colorado State University, graduating with dual minors in biomedical sciences and equine sciences. She went on to complete a DVM at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where her academic excellence earned her induction into the Mortar Board Senior Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She was also honored with several distinguished awards, including the Judith Ann Nelssen Scholarship Award, Dr. Sarah Lindsay Schillereff Scholarship Award, National Federation of Independent Business Award from the U.S. Congress.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Reilly completed advanced training in wildlife medicine at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, where she honed her expertise in caring for diverse animal species. She later served as Head Veterinarian at the Virginia Zoo, associate veterinarian at the Fort Worth Zoo, and Head Veterinarian at Roosevelt Park Zoo, providing medical care for hundreds of species ranging from reptiles and birds to large mammals. Her work at these renowned zoological institutions has been featured by national and local media outlets, including NBC Dallas–Fort Worth, The Virginian-Pilot, WAVY News, and Military News, for cases ranging from a prosthetic-beaked penguin to groundbreaking COVID-19 diagnostics in big cats.

Dr. Reilly’s research has made significant contributions to the field of veterinary medicine. She was among the first veterinarians worldwide to diagnose SARS-CoV-2 in zoo animals during the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to global understanding of zoonotic transmission. Her publications span multiple species and topics, including her co-authored studies “SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.7 Variant Infection in Malayan Tigers, Virginia, USA” and “Prolactin Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay for Rhinoceroses—Another Tool for Assessing Reproductive Function and Dysfunction in This Taxon.” She is also recognized for her innovative work in training and deploying conservation detection dogs for wildlife research and management applications.

Alongside her veterinary practice, Dr. Reilly has extensive admissions and mentorship experience spanning over five years. She has served as a member and interviewer on multiple admissions committees, including the Eastern Virginia Medical School (Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University) Master’s in Laboratory Animal Sciences (MLAS) Admissions Committee, the Virginia Zoological Society Internship Committee, and the Fort Worth Zoological Board Internship Committee. In these roles, she has reviewed over 170 applications and interviewed more than 70 candidates, participating directly in admissions decision-making processes.

In her academic role, Dr. Reilly is passionate about student development, veterinary school admissions, and career mentoring. She lectures on topics including veterinary school admissions, zoo and wildlife medicine, career resilience, compassion fatigue, and integrative therapies in non-traditional species. She has guided numerous students to successful admission into veterinary schools, internships, and residencies, with students gaining admission to programs in 17 states and the Caribbean. 

Known for her approachable mentorship style and dedication to student success, Dr. Reilly draws upon her extensive experience as both a practitioner and an admissions consultant to help aspiring veterinarians craft compelling applications and navigate the competitive admissions process. Her commitment to continuous learning, teaching, and mentorship continues to inspire the next generation of veterinary professionals and makes her an invaluable resource for aspiring students seeking to craft a comprehensive and competitive application for veterinary school.

Following graduation, Dr. Daugherty began his career with the Buffalo Veterinary Group in New York, building upon the clinical skills in small-animal medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging he had honed at Ohio State University. In 1992, he founded the Poland Veterinary Centre, where he served as Owner and Medical Director for over three decades. Under his leadership, the practice became known for its excellence in internal medicine, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and surgery, as well as its emphasis on compassionate, evidence-based care. His tenure was defined by a deep commitment to both patient welfare and professional mentorship, guiding numerous veterinarians, technicians, and students as they developed their clinical and leadership skills.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Daugherty has had a far-reaching impact on the veterinary profession through his long-standing involvement with the Veterinary Information Network (VIN), one of the world’s largest online communities for veterinarians. A VIN member since 1994, he currently serves on the VIN Board of Directors, acts as an associate editor for diagnostic imaging, and serves as the VIN Board of Directors Liaison to the VIN Foundation—a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterinary students and professionals through education, mentorship, and well-being initiatives. In these roles, Dr. Daugherty has contributed to global educational efforts, mentorship programs, and wellness advocacy for veterinary professionals at all stages of their careers.

Dr. Daugherty also plays an active role in veterinary education and admissions. For three consecutive cycles, he served as an admissions application evaluator for the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he reviewed and evaluated applicants on academic preparedness, professionalism, and program fit. This experience, combined with his decades in practice, gives him a unique perspective on what makes a successful veterinary school candidate. He also serves as a mentor for the VIN Virtual Veterinary Internship program, supporting veterinary students and recent graduates through case-based discussions, clinical reasoning exercises, and professional development guidance.

In addition to his leadership within VIN, Dr. Daugherty is a long-standing member of several professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA). His work in diagnostic imaging, practice management, and mentorship has been widely recognized within the veterinary community for its depth, precision, and educational impact.

As an admissions counselor, Dr. Daugherty’s strengths lie in his evaluative expertise, mentorship experience, and ability to help applicants present themselves with authenticity and clarity. His approach is thoughtful and strategic, helping students identify their key motivations and articulate their professional readiness through polished, purposeful application materials. Dr. Schnabel earned a BS in biology from Duke University, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. At Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, she received recognition for her surgical skills and dedication to the field of large-animal surgery, earning the A. Gordon Danks Large Animal Surgery Award.

As a veterinarian, Dr. Schnabel began her specialization in equine surgery by completing an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, followed by a fellowship at Cornell University, where she performed research on regenerative therapies. Dr. Schnabel then went on to complete a large animal surgery residency at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, during which time she won numerous awards, including the Outstanding Clinical Resident Award and the Phi Zeta Manuscript Competition Award. 

Following her residency, Dr. Schnabel completed a PhD in comparative biomedical sciences, centering on stem cell immunology at Cornell University, funded by a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Comparative Medicine Training Grant. During her PhD training, Dr. Schnabel was awarded a five-year NIH Mentored Clinical Scientist Career Development Award (K08) and was also awarded the Cornell University Biological and Biomedical Sciences Graduate Research and Teaching Fellowship, which she completed to further her development and prepare herself for her current academic position at North Carolina State University, consisting of clinical work, research, and teaching.

Since joining the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine Faculty over 12 years ago, Dr. Schnabel has built a national and international reputation as a leader in the fields of equine orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and rehabilitation. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts in addition to numerous book chapters, has delivered over 150 podium presentations, and has received external and internal funding for her research work totaling over $11 million.

Dr. Schnabel is also well known for being an exceptional mentor to the many graduate students, residents, interns, veterinary students, and undergraduate students that she trains. She was named a North Carolina State University Faculty Scholar for her great success in her clinical work, research, teaching, mentorship, and community outreach efforts. She also received the Zoetis Award for Veterinary Research Excellence and the Ruth L. and Ned E. Hoffman Leadership Award.

Dr. Schnabel’s greatest strengths as an admission consultant lie in her extensive experience in academia, as well as her extensive experience and passion for mentoring the next generation of veterinarians and clinician scientists. Throughout her career, she has advised students of diverse backgrounds and experience levels, including several for whom veterinary medicine was a second career. With over 20 years of mentoring experience, she has advised many students who have been accepted to the nation’s top veterinary schools, including Cornell, NC State, Tufts, CSU, UPenn, Ohio, UC Davis, UFlorida, UGA, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, and many more

Dr. Schnabel is adept at discovering and highlighting what makes each student unique and competitive as an applicant based on her firsthand knowledge of the admissions process. Her friendly and warm demeanor, combined with her strategic and organized approach, ensures that students feel comfortable receiving all the skills they need to succeed in their pursuit of a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Sondgeroth attended the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry. After college, she earned a DVM from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences before completing both a residency in veterinary microbiology and a PhD at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her diverse background in academia, diagnostics, and regulatory medicine allows her to offer students a comprehensive and practical understanding of the veterinary field.

Passionate about research, Dr. Sondgeroth worked in several research laboratories during college and veterinary school. She traveled to the Okavango Delta in Botswana to collaborate with colleagues researching lion lentivirus in African Lions, and spent a summer in Madagascar working with anthropologists and collecting blood samples from ring-tailed lemurs. Following completion of her PhD, she became a professor at the University of Wyoming and ran her own research lab that focused on bacterial diseases at the wildlife-livestock interface.

Dr. Sondgeroth’s expertise is in veterinary diagnostic medicine, and she has consulted with many clinicians regarding difficult cases, disease outbreaks, or when human health is jeopardized. She has diagnosed anthrax, brucellosis, plague, tularemia, and rabies within Wyoming and has collaborated with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), State Veterinarians, the Public Health Department, producers, and pet owners. Dr. Sondgeroth has also been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, received numerous research and academic awards, and secured over $500,000 in NIH grant funding as a principal investigator. As a veterinary admissions counselor, Dr. Sondgeroth draws upon over a decade of mentorship experience working with undergraduate and graduate students in the lab, classroom, and in private settings. She genuinely cares about each student and feels that the greatest reward as a counselor is hearing about her previous students’ vet school and career successes. Dr. Sondgeroth is passionate about getting to know each student and making sure that their unique strengths are highlighted in their applications. Dr. Sondgeroth feels that guiding motivated and talented students will ensure the continued success of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Webb began her higher education journey at the University of Georgia, where she graduated with a degree in biological sciences. During college, she was awarded an NCAA Athletic Scholarship and an HOPE Scholarship. After graduating, she worked as a poultry scientist—her experiences in food animal agriculture and her deep appreciation for its role in global food security inspired her decision to pursue veterinary school.

At the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Webb was recognized with numerous honors, including the National Society Descendants of American Farmers Scholarship, Fred B. Gent Food Animal Scholarship, AVMF/Merck Animal Health Veterinary Scholarship, AABP Merck Animal Health Scholarship, and the Dr. R. Bruce Hollett Fellowship in Veterinary Medicine Scholarship. Her strong foundation in food animal medicine and research underscores her ability to guide applicants toward distinguished veterinary careers.

As a counselor, Dr. Webb offers students a structured yet personalized approach to the admissions process. She helps applicants identify and highlight their strengths, develop compelling application materials, and confidently prepare for interviews. Her own success navigating the current veterinary admissions landscape allows her to provide relevant, practical insights to students. Her strengths include a strong understanding of the admissions process, the ability to break down complex requirements into clear steps, and a genuine dedication to seeing students succeed.

Beyond her work in admissions, Dr. Webb practices as an associate veterinarian at a rural mixed animal clinic, where she enjoys working with cattle and integrating her passion for agriculture into her clinical practice.

Throughout her career, Dr. Zimmerman has founded a successful mobile practice, served as a technical services veterinarian with Zoetis, and created educational content as a consultant for Pet360.com. She later became a certified veterinary acupuncturist and attended the University of Tennessee to complete a canine physical therapy program. Today, Dr. Zimmerman provides in-home veterinary services to her clients. 

Dr. Zimmerman has mentored multiple prospective veterinary students,  writing recommendation letters, guiding them through the admissions process, and celebrating their successes. As an admissions coach, Dr. Zimmerman brings both insider knowledge of the veterinary admissions process and a caring, empathetic approach. She is known as a true cheerleader for student success, helping applicants showcase their strengths, build confidence, and find the right program fit. 

Dr. Zimmerman is especially passionate about helping students explore career opportunities in small animal practice and diversified roles within the veterinary industry, empowering them to see the wide range of possibilities in veterinary medicine. She takes great joy in helping aspiring veterinarians achieve their dreams.

Before attending vet school, Dr. Ifkovits completed his Bachelor of Science in biology with distinction at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he conducted an honors thesis on zoonotic disease in industrial hog farming. Dr. Ifkovits’ interest in veterinary medicine began early, sparked by caring for his childhood black lab and solidified through years of experience at a small animal clinic. He has since built a diverse veterinary background that includes volunteer work with feline adoption organizations, conservation efforts with at-risk iguana species, and contributions in multiple laboratory research settings. 

While his primary experience in the working world has been in small animal medicine, Dr. Ifkovits has a high degree of familiarity with less common areas in the veterinary industry, such as research, public health, epidemiology, and laboratory animal medicine. He has a special interest in palliative oncology and introducing more modern therapies and approaches to his practice. Dr. Ifkovits has had the opportunity to develop new skills throughout his career, including ultrasound and work with modern point-of-care technologies.

As a mentor and admissions counselor, Dr. Ifkovits prides himself on being approachable and supportive, drawing on his own experiences as a first-generation doctoral student to connect with aspiring veterinarians. He emphasizes communication, reflection, and confidence-building while helping candidates navigate the admissions process. His mentorship style combines structure with flexibility, ensuring that students not only strengthen their applications but also develop skills valuable to their long-term success in veterinary medicine. 

Dr. Dalamangas began her higher education journey at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science and pre-veterinary. During her undergraduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working with animals on the university’s farm, which reinforced her passion for veterinary medicine and confirmed she was on the right path.

At Iowa State, Dr. Dalamangas explored various veterinary tracks, including small and large animal medicine, exotics and zoo animal medicine, and laboratory animal medicine, before deciding to focus on small animal medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Dalamangas returned to Massachusetts, where she has enjoyed a diverse and rewarding career. She has worked in private and corporate small animal practices, vaccine clinics, veterinary telehealth, academia, and in-home pet euthanasia. Her academic contributions include serving as the attending veterinarian at Becker College and as adjunct faculty at Massasoit Community College, where she teaches radiology to veterinary technician students.

As an admissions coach, Dr. Dalamangas offers structured, detail-oriented guidance grounded in practical experience. Her approachable, goal-oriented style empowers students to stay focused and confident throughout the admissions process. 

Through her work with undergraduate students, Dr. Dalamangas has developed a deep appreciation for mentoring aspiring veterinary professionals. She enjoys helping students navigate the path to veterinary school, reminding them that small, consistent steps are what lead to long-term success.

Dr Yeager is a member of the American Medical Association and the Sigma Delta Honor Society. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, forensic veterinary science, shelter medicine, veterinary education, and public health. Dr Yeager has worked as a telehealth veterinarian, veterinary instructor, and curriculum developer. She is currently the Deputy Veterinary Administrator at Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center and a veterinary technology instructor at Penn Foster. She also provides veterinary services to shelters, rescues, humane societies, and other organizations in the Chicagoland and Milwaukee areas.

As a counselor, Dr. Yeager is committed to helping students navigate the path to veterinary school and beyond. She has helped students gain admission to programs at Iowa State University, Midwestern University, St. George’s University, and Michigan State University. She leverages her diverse background to guide students through the application process with clarity and confidence. Dr. Yeager enjoys meeting new people, working with students, and helping animals and her community! 

At Colorado State University, Erik served as the President of the Veterinary Business Management Association (VMBA) and Co-Founder of the Veterinary Innovation and Technology Club. His veterinary training encompasses emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and neurology, with a focus on his ultimate career goal. Through VMBA and a partnership with Merck Animal Health, Erik and his team contributed to the development of a learning tool for veterinary students that simulates running their own vet clinic for five years. 

Beyond clinical care, Erik has held roles in various areas, including hospital operations, innovation strategy, and the development of educational content. He has collaborated with organizations such as Modern Animal, Veterinary Emergency Group, and Colorado State’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital to improve practice efficiency, develop clinical training tools, and foster sustainable leadership in veterinary medicine. He has contributed to canine neuroscience research on aging and cognition, completed advanced imaging studies, and worked alongside neurology specialists at leading academic and private hospitals.

As a coach and consultant, Erik is known for his warmth, precision, and ability to help students find the narrative thread that ties their lives together. Whether assisting reapplicants to find new confidence or guiding first-time applicants on how to stand out, he meets each student where they are, supporting them with empathy, strategic insight, and honest feedback.

What sets Erik apart is his commitment to helping students grow not only as applicants but as future leaders in the profession. He believes that great veterinarians aren’t just made in classrooms. As a non-traditional student with a background in chemical engineering, corporate finance, and start-up ventures, Erik understands that there is no single path to a career in veterinary medicine. He now uses that experience to guide students of all backgrounds in crafting powerful, authentic applications that stand out.

Dr. O’Brien graduated with a BA in biology from New York University, completing the Senior Global Academic Fellowship in Biology at NYU Abu Dhabi. At the Royal Veterinary College, Dr. O’Brien’s Master’s research focused on viral-induced skin cancer in horses, which earned him an ACVP Young Investigator Award, first place for his research project, and conference travel awards during his residency. He later returned to PennVet for a two-year Comparative & Laboratory Animal Pathology Fellowship.

Today, Dr. O’Brien is a board-certified veterinary anatomic pathologist and associate professor of Comparative Pathology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. In his role as a professor, Dr. O’Brien contributes to the education of veterinary students, anatomic pathology residents, and laboratory animal medicine residents. With years of national and international experience in veterinary education and mentorship, Dr. O’Brien brings a blend of academic insight, clinical experience, and admissions strategy to help aspiring veterinarians successfully navigate the competitive veterinary school application process.

Dr. O’Brien has reviewed countless undergraduate, veterinary, and veterinary residency applications and currently serves on the VMD Admissions Committee at PennVet. Dr. Vallarelli has built a career shaped by diversity, resilience, and a genuine love for animals and people. Her experience spans general and mixed animal practice, zoo medicine, equine specialty hospitals, and behavioral research, including time working with elephants at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Thanks to LMU’s distributive clinical model, she trained across the U.S., working in over a dozen veterinary clinics and hospitals while travelling solo with her dog and cat. She has also worked as a server for nearly a decade, held down two jobs during veterinary school, and relocated to Hawaii on her own after graduation.

During vet school, Dr. Vallarelli served as Vice President of the Veterinary Business Management Association and led social media strategy for LMU’s AVMA Student Chapter. But beyond leadership titles and academic achievements, she’s most proud of staying grounded and helping others along the way.

As a consultant, Dr. Vallarelli brings both sharp insight and sincere encouragement to the table. She understands that vet school admissions are about more than just perfect grades or hours of experience—it’s about showing who you are and why you belong in this profession. She has a gift for helping students find their authentic voice, highlight their strengths, and tell their story with clarity and confidence. Dr. Acosta’s clinical background spans roles at Greenhill Humane Society, Companion Animal Clinic, and the University of Oregon’s Terrestrial Animal Comparative Medicine program. She’s also provided relief services at Eugene Spay and Neuter Clinic and worked as a Community Education Instructor at Lane County Community College, where she taught foundational veterinary skills to adult learners. Currently, Dr. Acosta practices telehealth medicine with JustAnswer, where she provides accessible, expert advice to clients while modeling adaptability and innovation for aspiring vets. 

Dr. Acosta brings over a decade of hands-on experience across clinical practice, shelter medicine, lab animal care, and telehealth, offering students a grounded, real-world perspective on what it takes to thrive in this evolving field. Dr. Stonerook is a seasoned veterinary toxicologist, pharmacologist, and educator with over two decades of experience across research, academia, and clinical practice. He completed a BS in zoology before graduating with MS, DVM, and PhD degrees from Ohio State University. Dr. Stonerook is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (ABT) and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

In academia, Dr. Stonerook served for seven years in various teaching roles at Lincoln Memorial University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, serving as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Adjunct Associate Professor. He has many years of experience teaching courses in physiology, pharmacology, and toxicology. Dr. Stonerook’s veterinary experience includes laboratory animal medicine, small animal medicine, exotic medicine, and spay/neuter clinics, while his research has focused on cardiovascular and respiratory pharmacology, inhalation delivery, infusion models, and the development of preclinical study equipment still in use industry-wide. Additionally, he has held roles in the development and testing of equipment and animal models currently in use in safety pharmacology studies throughout the industry.

Dr. Stonerook currently works as a consultant through his firm, Rook Scientific Services, advising on projects in laboratory animal medicine and drug development. He has participated in many roles during his career, including serving as an attending veterinarian, surgical veterinarian, Study Director for pharmaceutical safety pharmacology studies and general toxicology studies (GLP and non-GLP), and manager and director of research groups. He has also been involved in the production of IND packages.

As a mentor and admissions coach, Dr. Stonerook combines his deep scientific background with firsthand admissions insight to help aspiring veterinary students stand out. With a mentorship track record that includes guiding numerous students, he brings a data-driven, strategic, and supportive approach to helping applicants reach their goals.

Dr. Miller’s extensive research contributions include publications in the Journal of Applied Poultry Research, focusing on broiler chicken production and welfare parameters. She has also presented her work at the American Association of Avian Pathologists Annual Meetings, demonstrating her commitment to advancing veterinary knowledge and sharing expertise with the professional community.

Currently serving as staff GP veterinarian for Aviagen North America, Dr. Miller provides comprehensive health management for commercial poultry operations across Oklahoma and Missouri, conducting remote and in-person consultations with over 100 contract growers and service technicians. Previously, she worked as a veterinarian at Hybrid Turkeys LLC, managing health programs across Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, and South Dakota. Her clinical expertise spans from routine preventive care to complex disease outbreak management in commercial poultry settings.

Dr. Miller's commitment to veterinary education is exemplified through her leadership role as Chair of the Education Committee for the American Association of Avian Pathologists, where she helped develop education materials for veterinary professionals. Her dedication to student success began early in her career as a student athletic academic tutor at Virginia Tech, where she provided academic support across multiple disciplines and developed personalized learning strategies for student-athletes. As a peer mentor in the Animal and Poultry Sciences department, she guided first-year students through the challenges of university-level coursework and helped them navigate the pre-veterinary program.

Dr. Miller's mentoring philosophy emphasizes that with the right opportunities and mindset, the path to vet school can be both transformative and enjoyable. She is dedicated to helping each student discover their unique story and develop the experiences that will not only strengthen their applications but also shape them into compassionate, well-rounded veterinary professionals. She believes while veterinary school may be the goal, the journey should be filled with exploration and unforgettable experiences. Her own path to veterinary medicine was shaped by unique opportunities that ranged from working at Colonial Williamsburg's Coach and Livestock Department to volunteering at a Desert Wildlife Sanctuary in Israel.

Dr. Miller's greatest strengths as an admissions counselor lie in her organization, creativity, and flexibility. She excels at helping students discover their unique passions within veterinary medicine and crafting applications that showcase their individual journeys. Her approach centers on finding distinctive experiences that allow students to develop and explore their interests, just as she did through diverse opportunities ranging from shelter work in high school to collaborating with a small animal ophthalmology specialist during her undergraduate years. 

In her free time, Dr. Miller maintains an active lifestyle through hiking and swimming in lakes during the summer. Her passion for travel continues to drive her exploration of animal-related service opportunities in different countries, reflecting her global perspective on veterinary medicine and animal welfare.

Dr. Agapis is a globally trained veterinarian, educator, and admissions mentor with over a decade of experience in clinical medicine, academic leadership, and veterinary education. She holds a DVM from the University of Thessaly Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Greece and a Master’s in veterinary medical sciences from the University of Florida, along with a graduate certificate in veterinary public health. She is board-eligible in both shelter medicine and preventive medicine.

She previously served as faculty at the University of Illinois, where she held multiple key roles including Coordinator of the Junior Surgery Program, Head of the Shelter Medicine Service, and Coordinator of the International Programs. During her tenure, she was repeatedly recognized for excellence in teaching, earning the Dr. Erwin Small Teaching Award and being named to the “Teachers Ranked as Excellent” list for three consecutive years. She also secured several grants to launch impactful community programs such as the Community Medicine Program, Community Cat Days, and Semi-Annual Shelter Training Seminars.

Now based in Greece, Dr. Agapis is the Founder and Head Veterinarian of AgapiVet, a full-service veterinary clinic she established on the island of Rhodes. The clinic began as a collaborative site for international spay-neuter missions and has since expanded to serve local families and pets through community outreach and mentorship. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Missouri, teaching in their online veterinary Master’s and technologist programs.

Dr. Agapis takes a nurturing yet strategic approach to coaching, viewing herself as a cultivator of potential. She believes in planting seeds of knowledge, nurturing students’ confidence, and equipping them to grow into competent, compassionate veterinary professionals. Her coaching focuses on authenticity, reflection, and long-term success, whether it’s helping students find their “why,” perfect their interview responses, or crafting a standout application that highlights their story and strengths.
